It's a bit funny how many of the bugs and glitches from the beta still remain, light fixture in one of the areas in the Hargreeve building still causes half the level to delete if shot, numerous mis aligned or mis placed objects and it's very easy to get stuck on the geometry in several areas of the game, aside from said light fixture most of this is fairly minor however. Smile
(That easter-egg bundle is still there as is the elevator dance party though that one requires a additional step now in order to power said elevator.)

I like the design of both suits. The new one is needlessly pumped a few notches up, however.

This.
Borrowed a little from the Gears of War gorilla armor, but thankfully none of it's shaved gorilla character models:

Thing is... well... I reinstalled Crysis, pumped up max settings with 4xAA and... well... how to put it properly... Crysis 2 now looks... kinda pale compared to it's predecessor.

The technology behind Crysis still looks amazing even today.

One thing that this game could had done right, is the annoying videos at the beginning of a level and then you have to load.

Why not load and show vid at same time? -.-

Tbh the original has kind of out-of-proportion body - arms looking like gorilla's. Razz

Overall I enjoyed the game. Only real bug (game-affecting - a bit) was that my points for suit upgrades got reset every now and then so I couldn't buy the fancy modules for it.

As for the suit's - ahem- abilities or bonding with host - one could have thought of them in Crysis 1. Just happens that they explained it in more detail and I like it.

As for Prophet and his story - mind=fucked.

I have a theory about this, and it's that they did not implement a CD key-check at release deliberately because they knew full well it would be pirated to hell and back, so by allowing illegitimate users to play online they have in effect allowed them an extended MP demo. I believe that they will patch in security in the hope that some of aforementioned players will then go on to buy it. Makes perfect sense to me, they obviously knew they couldn't beat the pirates, so they are trying to convert them into sales.

There's not even a scene release of the new exe out yet.. If there wasn't for P2P we wouldn't be able to play it... So how could they know that somebody would crack it and make plans about it etc when they decided to implement one of the most difficult to crack known protections?

Well I don't believe they are that stupid. You think they don't test this stuff? You think they don't have servers for key checking? Of course they do. One of the most high-profile AAA titles of the year, I think they have a plan. It still boils down to this: every developer knows that cannot stop the scene from cracking their games. They have to be brainstorming other ways to turn downloads into sales, wouldn't you think? If I ran a multi million company staffed with the brightest people in the industry I sure as hell would. To assume they are stupid is naive.

you remember when all the people cryed "omg i cant login, cd key in use!" ? maybe they cutted off the cd-key check on accounts, so while they are building the patch people can play without problem. Cool Face

iND
Independent, not a real group, just term to categorize users who aren't members of larger groups. Occasionally there are releases with an -iND tag.

can be any group not of the known usual suspects really. Or solo i guess.

This makes more sense. I was also thinking maybe there was an error with printing the keys and the same keys went out multiple times, which would mean permanent free online play.
