Actually, I'm even surprised that someone even PLAYED the PSX version - the game was already very, very obscure on the PC.

It was good though, definately try it because it's very unique and original. It could have been even better if they improved the dialogue system (one of the best ones I've ever seen complexity-wise, but shit you had to navigate at least FOUR MENUS just to formulate a question!). I seem to remember it also had very complex AI routines for NPCs.

So, anyone played Ambermoon?

Several times. If you liked Amberstar and never played Ambermoon... what the hell are you waiting for? Razz It beats the shit out of most modern RPGs. Beautiful 2D gfx and amazing (for the time) 3D dungeons. Just watch out for bugs in the English version:

after watching all that mk9 footage i just cant resist playing some mortal kombat games, but 1-4 are boring as fuck (played some umk3 on mame) so the question is:

Are there any way to play some "new" mortal kombat games (armageddon, deadly alliance, deception - any of them) at nice constant 60fps without major glitches on some emulators (pcsx/dolphin) ?

i remember cheking those mk games on pcsx some time ago but while gfx looked good game simply run to slow, not like lagging but just slow - typicall for emulation.

anyone, sabin?

i am not sure where i could ask this question.

The origanl metal gear1 and 2 for MSX were retranslated and slightly edited when released with the meteal gear 3 DVDs on PS2, they were ran with a MSX emulator.

So i assume it is possible to extract the roms and run them on a standard msx emulator like bluemsx.

I ask cause the second metal gear only had a fan translation ( one of the very first ever made ) and the one in the metal gear 3 release had an official translation.

thanks

had my first mess around with pcsx2 yesterday, managed to get fight night 2004 working nicely. but fight night round 3 has corrupt textures & runs way too slow.

will go through this thread in a bit to find out what the best pluggins & settings people are using.

if anyones running fight night 3 on pcsx2 on a similar system, point me in the right direction with what settings your using please.
gonna go sift through the pcsx forum now see what i can learn about where to start with which pluggin you should mess with first for dif games.

versions im messing with at the moment are 0.9.6 & 0.9.7 (beta)

system specs should be fine, does'nt seem to be pushing my comp much at the mo,not fight night 1 anyway.

The stable version 0.9.8 is out.

"In all we now have around 65% of all tested games marked as playable, and at least 85% get ingame. This means that over 1500 of the tested games are fully playable!"

Something AWESOME for those who like to live on the bleeding edge (and for people who want specific game fixes available to them prior to official release);

SVN snapshots (build bot)
[ Posted by rama 20:52 on 03 06 11 ]
Hey people, I thought this was worth mentioning

Orphis was so kind to set up and operate a build bot for PCSX2 SVN snapshots.

The bot takes the latest sources as we commit them and builds working packages for you to download.
These packages are /trunk builds and Win32 only (for now).

The bot is here:
http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

Thanks again to Orphis for providing this nice service!

The Buildbot grabs the latest SVN release, checked every 10 mintes (Shocked) and automatically compiles it into end-user binaries. Now THAT is friggin' awesome. Right now it's up to 0.9.8 rev4715.

I'm quite enjoying some Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (SMT 3), Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor and some Etrian Odyssey.
I don't really play much else right now.
Yes 3 of those titles are for Nintendo DS and one is for PS2. Devil Troll
All of the SMT games that I tried on PCSX2 worked great. Etrian Odyssey and Devil Survivor works great on the latest Desmume as well.

You actually have to 'draw' your own map on the 'virtual graph paper' there on the bottom. With the emulator you use the mouse, with the hardware you use a stylus.
Popamole nfohumpbro style.

Get all 3 Etrian Odyssey games, they all harken back to old days of Wizardry and Might and Magic.
I believe theres a 4th one coming out soon as well. They have old school gameplay, and they actually have a good story for the most part as well. It keeps you engaged atleast Smile
Closest to the old Wizardry experience, though without the graph map, would be Dark Spire which is also a fantastic game.
I'm really loving the Nintendo DS for all it's 'oldschool' like games, just have to learn to not get enraged by the anime style and after a while it's not that bad actually.

Awesome. 10 - 45% speedup with CPU's that have 3+ cores. That's pretty neat.

Okay I'm confused here. I've got a wia file for a Wii game but Dolphin doesn't recognize the format. Doing google searches for a wia to iso doesn't yield any results at all. What do I do here?

Edit:

They are explaining the genesis of wia iso but nothing about a straight conversion from wia to iso Mind Is Full Of Fuck

1 and 2 are still amazing.
