I miss "save game" so much. If it is too much for console to handle they could at least leave "restart checkpoint".

Save game? What's that? The retards might be running a Shitbox Arcade which only had 512MB saving space, so can't waste memory on that! Laughing

My only gripe (yes only, derp ) is the lack of saving. It's incredibly frustrating and just speaks volumes of a console port. The rest of the game? The visuals, the gameplay, the setting? I'm thoroughly enjoying Very Happy

According to Crytek consoles run with everything set on High (which is the lowest setting in the PC version) and they have lower texture quality because they use streaming, which is disabled in the PC version because PCs have high amounts of RAM.

Other differences: PC version is the only one that uses true FP16 HDR, only in the PC version the shadows are updated every frame, only the PC version casts shadows for every light (no matter the amount of them), only the PC version uses vertex displacement for the water.

Finally the PC version is meant to be played at 1080p@60fps as long as you chose the right settings for your system.

Also real stereo (3D) will come on PC with a patch.

Link doesn't work (anymore).

I heard in Windows 2000 you gain even more, something like 30fps than Windows 7. Shocked

Following that amazing discovery, I am now installing Windows 98 to check out!

Do you know of any secret commands I can insert into my autoexec.cfg and force the game to use OpenGL? This would surely give me at least 33% better framerate because Microsoft pays software companies to use their DirectCShit and hardware companies pay Microsoft to make it run slow. OpenGL is just awesome and if you know how to enable it please tell me so that I can enjoy true next-gen graphics!! Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Idea

I think you are using a sarcastic tone right here, but in fact, I heard that the UE3 Samaritan demo, if run on OpenGL, it runs real time on a 8800GTX!!! Surprised But MS paid Epic in the last second to force their DirectCShit upon people's throats! Mad
