Other than the nano/weapon upgrade menu, the other functions are implemented in other games, so it's noting new to get used to. FC2 and Bulletstorm have "tap crouch while sprinting to slide", CoJ 2 and, I think, Killzone 2/3 have cover hugging and LT to auto aim is in basically every FPS since MW.
The thing I don't like is the nano suit powers. I would have liked to have the option to chose between 2 modes for the nano suit powers, the version witch Crysis 2 has (witch imo is crap) and the version witch Crysis 1 had (witch imo is way better). Why simplify a thing only to make it worse; you loose too much control over the suit in Crysis 2, witch is exactly the opposite of what you want from a 2.0 version of the nano suit.
LE: x360 has 3D support for what I think is 3D TV. I believe the ps3 has it as well.

I´m about half-way done with the game, and apart from a few visual gripes, its been mostly fun.
My my problem is with the lack of "visibility", i have a hard time making out the enemies, also the FOV is limited (for lack of a better description), it ends up being a very "claustrophobic" experience, even tho the maps are huge.

I've put this game to one side now, I had only put a hour or so into playing it anyway but wanted to play the full thing on the PC version.
Ps3 version looks and runs very nicely I thought. The low res textures are because it's a console not a pc, but for a sony it's decent.
I like the way you can still do things like you could in the original. For example; cloak up, sneak up to the nub next to their vehicle, stealth kill him. Steal the vehicle, drive towards a manned guard tower, jump out and super leap up and do a power melee take down on him.
@cobalt: using one of the shoulders as a shift button along with the right analog with the originals radial menu would have worked for me. I don't like the way it is now either. It slows things down when you want it to be quick!.

I have to say, although the suit is dumbed down alot in it's functions, gameplay is still very interesting and diverse.
You can stealth a lot (and it it FUN compared to other "stealth" titles!), you can go all in with armor, you can try to speed past many enemies. There are many possibilites, and although most areas are quite small, it works really well.
What annoys me is the short downtime of the suit. It recharges WAY to early and to fast. Having to wait double the time until it starts recharging, and then a slower recharging process would have made the game so much more intense.
I was just behind a pillar in stealth, peaked around and saw an enemy. Shot him in the head, thus loosing all my energy. He didn't die though. But until he managed to walk around the pillar, I was fully charged again and could just cloak, so that he didn't see me. And then after receiving a headshot from like 2 meters he was "oh, must have been nothing".

Just tried the PS3 version and i'm not sure why peole rave so much about the graphics because they aren't that impressive. Sure it's OK for a console but personally i think that Killzone look better than this.
Should be amazing on PC though , especially if DX 11 is properly implemented.

Allright so I burned this thing, now when I start it up it says I need to install an update which fails. (unreadable disk)
I know I can download the update from the website and install it from an USB or similair.
But is it safe for me to install this update?
Cuz I'm running an old firmware 1.51 (Liteon) and patch my games to wave 3 in order to make em work.
Will this fuck-up my box, or am I good to go.
btw, I dont play online, and my last burned game is Fight night which works fine.

Finished it on normal in 6:30hours (you can look at the stats after you finish the game)
WOW! it was fucking amazing!
The last 2 hours of the SP was epic... You mostly play as the predator and feel all mighty as fuck.
I give it 9/10 not higher because I don't like the MP at all.

Thats what I liked about the first game, how it was you were like a predator. Once you had gotten used to the nanosuit. It was like that for the first half of the game and what I thought was the best part; untill the aliens showed up and all went to pot, then you needed the nanosuit just to survive.
Thanks for the heads up on the finish times guys.
