Well... I've got an i5 760 at 3.9k ghz on each core, a HD 6950 that is flashed to HD 6970 which is overclocked from there on, and this game lags like a piece of shit?
Is my system not powerful enough or something?

Sorry buddy your hardware is too outdated for a graphical powerhouse like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Yeah it seems to be running pretty fine for me (aside from a hiccup or two during the vista pan around in viewpoint synchronisation) with settings maxed - i7 8GB 560Ti Win7 x64. Looks pretty so-so though. Obviously they didn't bother including any higher res textures or adding improved effects. Looks like a straight port across of the console versions with no changes. Not that I'm a graphics whore, but damn those horrible shadows are annoying.

Runs fine for me too, Wolfdale E8400 @ 3.0ghz, 9800gtx+SC, 4gb ram, running at 1280x1024 max settings I get well over 60 fps, if you are complaining that it lags when your steam overlay is up than stop opening your fucking steam overlay.
But I guess I would be butthurt if I had that expensive rig and my game ran like crap. 
After getting to act 4 it seems this game is allot better than AC2, except for the glare that never goes away, allot of times in fights he will put his weapon away, or there will be that one guy who dodges every fucking attack and your kicks, still the fights should be a little harder, seems like you can dispatch endless amounts of guys especially with the new insta kill combos.

Tried changing resolution, rolling back the BIOS to 6950, lowering the graphic details, and still no luck... what the heck could be causing this slowdown?

I know that, I meant that the kill streaks make combat really easy since you can pretty much kill 20 guys all with one hit, and combat was already easy enough in the first 2 games.

GT250 is similar to the 9800 isn't it, should run fine as the game is mainly CPU bound as far as I'm aware but then I don't know what sort of CPU you have, 1920x1080 might push more for GPU though but the many available settings means you can easily customize this to find a good balance between performance and visuals should it be necessary. 
And yeah combat can be a bit easy at times, I've rarely had to use assassin groups outside of were it was needed for 100% sync though I use them frequently against small guard patrols to level up XP for them.
Personally I prefer a more satisfying way to deal with annoying enemies, charged attacks by holding down the attack button, especially with a two hander which is then used as a great projectile, surprises those annoying acrobatic enemies even and looks hilarious, having to pick the weapon up all the time can be a issue though unless you switch to a secondary one.
(They're all pretty effective which as you say makes combat a bit simple even at larger groups of enemies, Crossbow has been a life saver though were stealth was necessary however as the throwing knives are a bit cumbersome and imprecise in comparison, AI has poor sight distance unfortunately and dead bodies aren't usually a issue either which is a missed opportunity as you can carry such things.)
EDIT: I suppose it comes down to mostly the relaxed AI and the fairness system in combat were enemies take turns attacking and usually hold back making stuff like dodging, streaks and counter kills super effective aside from the occasional marksman guard in the distance can easily remove entire groups of stronger enemies.

But how can you login using SKIDROW crack?
And does it affect only Leonardo Da Vinci or also the other DLC (Trajan Market, Aquaeducts)?
Because MP is not worth 35€ or more.

Hi! Can anyone pls help me... i bought the game on dvd 1day steelbook and i can't intall it bacuse the disc is unreadable on 2 points: data cab5 and 6.
I tryd it on my laptop to but the same error .
Please can anyone upload the two 1gb file for me?
I downloaded the clone multi 11 but my cd key is not valid for it. (and the clone version don't have the same cab files...)

Erm you need to make those 3 main quest for Thieves, Courtesans and Mercenaries then you can rebuild the buildings.

It's the main mission for arc three or what it was when you recruit the thieves, courtesans and mercenaries under you, then you can upgrade the empty HQ buildings to have the faction you decide spawn groups nearby whom you can use.
(And kind-of have to use if you want to complete the challenges and get the reward items.)

Same here, at memory six now after a few days but I'm doing side missions, upgrading, investing and so on, a bit over 10.000 every twenty minutes in income so I'm pretty much set but I can't find that last terracotta pot the smith wanted for his quest.
(Random chests and looting thieves have provided many items of interest but few actual quest important ones.)

keep all items because you get more quests, so an item you might not see you need now you can use later.

How do you guys get so much black space (black bars) on top and bottom?
I have just 1.5 cm on the top and bottom.
And the game runs fine on my HD5770. The fan spins like crazy and the card gets pretty loud (temps get around 90°C), but all is playable just fine @1680x1050. I wanted to lower the multisampling, but then the textures were missing 
Love the story and the game so far There is really much stuff to do 
Did anyone notice how, if you renovate (or purchase) the really expensive things like the Pantheon you don't get that much money from it. It's fucking ripoff! I spent like 28000 f for Colle Palatino and I got maybe a 200 f increase in the bank
