In theory, any player character can use any armor, but there big but.
"Mage armor" requires high willpower and magic, rogue armor dexterity and cunning and warrior armor strength and constitution. So you will essentially use just armor tailored for your class.

And be sure to buy upgrades for your companions when possible. There is a "gift" section that merchants have or sometimes you find upgrades during companion quests

Bioware's level design has and always will be shit. Their level designers have little imagination and creativity. I can't remember a Bioware game in which I was wowed by the level design.

You might be right in most cases but I have to say that the beginning of DA:O was done quite right. Ostagar and the watchtower had a great feeling of scale.

By "watchtower" I assume you mean the Tower of Ishal? That might have had a sense of scale if the Eclipse engine could handle layered collision instead of loading every floor as a separate level. Either way, the internal scale in no way matched the external scale.

Those 18 responses are useless cause the character doesn't actually SPEAK. Nor do most of the NPCs, so it's just no use pressing them.
