^really???
I didn't know that. That's great option, since game is very cpu intensive due to npc's pathfinding.

is there a cfg/setting to configurate in order to reduce the number of npc's on the streets?
in the 1st game u had this option and many more in the .ini Sad

The only .ini file I could find contains only the "standard" editable values from the settings:

Quote:
EnvironmentQuality=2
TextureQuality=2
ShadowQuality=2
ReflectionQuality=3
CharacterQuality=2
PostFX=1

So I think the answer is no. (that option would have been quite useful though).

Brotherhood changes ubisoft launcher and ubiorbitapi_r2.dll to new version in Program Files/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher
Try to apply skidrow crack again (for AC2) and see if it works.

Well it doesn't suck THAT much. Wink Some games, especially those based on Gamebryo engine (Oblivion, Fallout 3/NV) actually offer a smoother performance for me on Windows 7. Also Stalker CoP runs almost as smooth in dx9, on WinXP as in dx11 on Win7 - not talking FPS here (!).

BUT, still, LOTS of games run quite better on Win XP. To name some: Crysis 2 MP demo, The Witcher, Batman AA, Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood also, and the list could go on.

To sum up, that's why I keep up 2 OS's. Wink

That's what I was wondering. I was going to get it, but that damn Direct2DRive 20% off sale is over now. Not sure I want to pay $50 for it. I've seen some key sites that had it for as low as $25. I'd like to have the extra content though, but I'm not even sure if the multi is even worth it.

This game really needs a customizable draw distance. Was there ever a LOD hack for the original AC2?

Damn. I have dreadfull performance. I played AC2 super fluid (locked @60 'cause i hate screen tearing) last year, and now both ac2 and acb stutter all over the place. The only thing different in my system is a 580gtx instead of the old 280gtx. Gonna probably install another Win7 in a different partition and see if that fixes it.

I have a GTX580 and the game was super fluid and smooth. Either bad/corrupted video drivers or the card itself is having hardware issues. What's the situation with other 3D applications (beside the AC games which share the same graphical engine)?

That gtx580 should be able to run 10 instances of acb at the same time . Reinstall the OS, defrag the hdd, dont use beta drivers .

Diskeeper keeps my drives always defragmented. Had beta drivers for DA2 for better Dx11 but reinstalled the latest whql after acb stuttering. Didn't change a thing. Something is blocking performance. Doesn't change 1fps if i choose 800x600 everything low or disabled or 1920x1080 everything maxed. And i don't have any background programs causing problems, etc, i know my shit. Seems like a faulty driver. Gotta install another OS. No point wasting hours trying to pinpoint what's causing it. Thx anyway.

I benched uningine without problems and got the performance it should have.

They work fine... you just have to get the items of the list and trade them for the sword.

Windows 7 is honestly shitty. I finally moved over to it and had to go right back when I lost about 40 FPS in BC2. I went from playing it on high settings at 70-100 fps to playing it on low settings at 30fps even while in DX9 mode, now I run all my games off XP unless they are DX only which only seems to be Just cause 2 which blew so that was probably the last time I logged onto windows 7 and probably will be the last time until BF3 comes out.

Yeah, what doesn't work are the investments. Quests are fine because they are not related to Uplay.

All over, in the little chests you find, when you kill certain people, Thieves for example, I was ambushed by abunch of thieves and I looted there bodies and every one of them had some random item.

Game is way to easy just like the first 2 also glare.
