From all indications, AC:B is basically a much enhanced/improved AC2. I've got the PS3 version, but I've not played yet due to not finishing AC2.

Turn off/on vsync, use a tool to change flip queue size/triple buffering etc.

AC doesn't seem like the kind of game that can be enjoyed with mouse and keyboard

wrong. AC was nice with a normal mouse, but mine can control the dpi value, that's all and it's a good help..

Neon the savegames along with the INI (Which was also discussed.) are stored under "C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\Assassin's Creed Brotherhood\SAVES" this time instead of the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Launcher path used previously, Skidrow crack being near-identical to the Russian based one more or less guarantees saves are compatible.
(I guess the changed bytes makes it so you don't need to set offline mode and can start the game exe directly or something.)

Performance is great to the person who asked about that but the game isn't that demanding other than CPU performance as far as I can tell, will check FPS figure more carefully next time I play it. Smile

DLC is included if you have uPlay active and that requires being signed in (Maybe can hack the save as with AC2? I wouldn't know though but it seems likely.) and some content is restricted to having either unlocked the deluxe edition items, purchasing items via points by achievements in the game (Not with money.) and that Facebook game for some additional stuff as far as I've understood it.

Thanks as always JB. Smile

Is there any way of checking if the game is already on Steam servers besides trying
Steam://install/48190 thing?

It's there (steam://validate/48190) but I think it's still held server-side, you can use the download version in the meantime and place it under say "C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Assassins Creed 2 Brotherhood\" and then when it's released you just use the install command and it will update the necessary files but leave the rest alone.
(Likely the exe will be Steam compatible but most everything else should remain identical and leave the download size significantly smaller if the folder it's placed in is correct, if not closing Steam after it's begun installing and copying the data over to that folder and restarting Steam will work, then just re-validate the content once it's finished to be certain.)

If you can access your game key yet that should allow using the retail exe to sign-in since it's still Ubisoft and uPlay and get online to receive those bonuses but I think it's likely not available yet for a few hours at least.

How´s the game performance in not high-end PCs?
Anyone is playing it in a rig that just meets the recommended requirements? e g. Athlon 6000+ geforce 8800gt or similar

Or, is the performance more/less the same as the 2nd game? My pc ran that one respectably well, so if it's the same I shouldn't have to worry too much.

Well only the Da Vinci DLC is important as it serves as an epilogue to Ezio's storyline. Are you sure it needs to be unlocked? I thought it would have been included by default in the singleplayer.

the graphics are slightly better than the 2nd game - those horrible shadows problems have been fixed - and the game also runs better than the 2nd.
gameplay wise - it's AC2 with minor but good improvements.
all in all , excellent game.

I've tried AC:B with mouse, again. As previously said, it's horrible, same as in AC2, mouse acceleration is through the roof with no option to turn it off. The mouse control was fine in the first game, though I had to finish the second with a controller, and I'll probably finish the two-and-a-half one on PS3, because AC:B also runs worse on my shit pc.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.
