So this isn't exactly new, and I'm too lazy to make a template right now, but I just finished watching the bluray collection and I still love it :d
The bluray discs are also absolutely worth it. None of the annoying piracy clips, stunning image quality, top notch sound, good extras. Not having the fucking piracy clips is worth it already. 6-7 seconds to spin up the discs (slow player), 3 seconds of a military emblem and you're good to go.
This is what entertainment should be like, hassle free, no bullshit - worth every penny. If only the game industry would pick up on this..

Band of Brothers 2001 720p BluRay DD5.1 x264-EbP
May I make a small request? Can you please change the title to "Band of Brothers"? For some reason, the little 'b' stands out to my eyes... I'm OCD like that...
Finished watching the 720p's about... 2 months back.
One of the best series ever made and most likely THE best WW2 series ou there (haven't seen The Pacific yet).
One of my favorite scenes:
Hmmm, will probably check out that EBP release.

@ Leo: Fixed, typed it on my phone and I'm still getting used to Swype ^^
@ tonizito: The Pacific doesn't come close to this, really doesn't. For me it just doesn't has the same connection to the people I get with Band of Brothers. Plus, it's closer to home; Bastogne is 100km south of me, Eindhoven 100km north, pretty darn local
Despite the fact that it's obviously been Americanised, I have much greater respect for these soldiers than I do for the poor blokes who are sent to Iraq, Afghanistan and fuck knows where else now. Not because of the soldiers themselves, but because of the reasons behind the combat. Different times
Also just noticed that Richard Winters died on Jan 2nd this year, R.I.P.
I actually liked the Pacific as much as BOB...Mind you i did watch the Pacific first so maybe thats why.
There is an infinite deep hole of love for BOB in some people but I really liked Pacific as well...when it comes to the story I prefer BOB as well, maybe because Im from Europe but some of the characters in the pacific were true heroes man and it was great learning their story
And to think I could have met one of them. I was an exchange student in Texarkana in 2002-2003, right where 'Bull' Randleman lived (died shortly after I left). Didn't know he was a local at the time.
one of the most boring series ever made with some of the dullest actors ever. so dull that the guys from LOTR are stars. imo. gave up after 3-4 episodes of pure agony.

If there was anyone who still doubted this series, there's the proof that it really is one of the best ever

Well Laurentiu I can always come and shine a flashlight in your face once in a while and randomly shout "BOOM" during the boring conversation pieces so it is more to your liking!

Are you saying that Laurentiu is arguing against too much action?
i find too much pew pew boring. i guess he didnt like the top notch character development and great american storytelling. i loved the story and the characters. but the pew pew aspect of it didnt thrill me and i found it boring

Ok. I cant even begin to understand that. To me it was equally important. It helped shape the characters and show the home viewer what war actually is. It was crucial, imo. I dont even think it should be called "action" scenes almost
