There is a symbiotic relationship between DLCs and console/pc gamers who pay money for them. As long as one exists the other will also exist. You can whine and bitch as much as you want but Biowhore and the gang are making money off them so it's unlikely a change will happen.
I'll bet that there will be companion appearance dlcs for DA2, like the ones in ME2.

I don't think a hacked version of the DAO decrypter would work for DA2 unless you already have the decryption keys. Getting the keys is the hard part at the moment, since they aren't in the rainbow table I used for DAO.

Meh I'm playing my sisters copy. She derped up and bought it because she enjoyed the first one. That and it's -44C outside and I don't feel like freezing my ass off while I'm out in the middle of fucking nowhere. But, fun and enjoyable are two different things. Is the game fun? I suppose. Is some of the shit stupid beyond belief? You fucking bet. Just like various NPC's that come bursting at you with lightening speed. Fuck me, if I ever seen skellies run at me faster than a sprinter, I'm getting out of town.
Personally it seems the game is too fast, either shit runs at you like mad, or shit that should lumbers along. I'm also not a fan of the 'well lets fuck them in the face' method of dealing with bosses, sub bosses, lt's, etc. And just keep spawning shit on top of you. It's a cheap method of making content hard.
The 'repeat' of the same zones over, and over, and over, and over, again is annoying and speaks of cheap ass level design. Did I mention the repeat of the same zones over, and over, and over again? No probably not. No real customization of the party. Beh. Dialog? Beh. There's really nothing that attaches you to the characters like in DAO(and DAO was pretty thin on that at the start). Most of the humor is 'meh' or just down right shitty.
I'll probably finish it before I leave, but I doubt I'd buy it until the 'super-deluxe ultimate edition' shows up, and is on sale for $19.

i think they used the system more similar to the one in ME2 than in DAO

DX11 performance is a fucking train wreck with this game. But at least they acknowledge it. I also have to turn off SSAO to get above 40fps on my 560ti (on High settings, V. high isn't evern worth it).

I'm using a GTS450 and haven't had any problems, but sometimes I swear performance issues are really hit and miss even within the same batch of nvidia cards.

My GTX 460 chugs along unless I turn off all the fancy stuff, but then again, if I'm gonna turn everything off, I could very well be playing on a console. I'll wait until things are fixed. DAO is much better anyway.
