I came here at around the doom 3 alpha leak and found this page through some other pages, linking to the hump for first hand information and became a lurker Smile Started posting in 2005...

Tell us your story: How did you come to nforce / the humps?

I think it was not long after I found out what a keygen was, I was searching for warez. I used to check out the nfo page and a while after I think I registered with the username Newt182. I then came back a few years later and started using the forums under my current username. My memory is very sketchy on that though.

I don't remember how I managed to find the Humps...probably I was searching for warez Laughing

I've been a lurker for some years (browsing only the PC Game Arena), then I decided to create an account in 2008 but become very active only several months later. Smile

How old is this site? It's a bit hard to estimate with the 1970 join dates. I think I started lurking back when sharereactor was big. Maybe 2004?

Same for me. Made one account named Ankh first...forgot the password and never got the retrieve to work...then I made Anthirs which I had for years until last year when I finally managed to get around to ask if I could have Ankh as my nick instead again.

Also around 2005 my games retailer (the guy in the old golf who sold games grinhurt) said that I should check the main page and see if there is nfo file of the game I was interested. If it was here, that meant that he had it and I could buy it Very Happy

I lurked during those times, and registered under some name I forgot grinhurt Never really posted until this acc. Been here since...

Found it looking for warez. Watched the front page mostly, then looked into the forum, basically to see what other people were doing warez wise. Lurked for a bit, found some of the convo's hilarious, liked the personalities from around the world, the different ages. Was intrigued with World News. The Drama. And I became hooked. Joined back, whatever my profile says.

I always remember Deelix saying "are you gay dude, because if you are thats cool?" hehehe. And Syco was the Hot one.

You know... I really don't remember. I'd been lurking here for a long time before I finally signed up, but why did I come here first? *shrugs* Dunno, probably the same as Pistolshrimp: using the site for checking NFOs, then slowly idling onto the forum itself.

In 2004. I was buying full iso demos for PC from one dude ... internet speeds in our country were poor in that time so this was the only way to find cheap games. I was calling him from time to time to see what's new scene rlses and he told me about nforce.nl ( in that time ) .. " go there and see what's new I will have that in few days , no need to call me all the time " - he said ... so I began to visit this site only for that ( in that time everything was updated regullary ) ... then I was lurking in the forums , reading , looking solutions and workarounds for some games etc..but I wasn't interested to join and start posting ... on feb. 11. 2009. I decided to finally do that , and Im glad I did it..I love it here. Smile

So basically Im here very long. Smile That's my history with this site.. Wink
