Uhm, what's up with the stars on items. Could someone explain? Guess I don't have the simple mind to get it.

Is this a rating for the classes? So, 5 stars suits my char perfectly?

The stars are the game's dumb way of giving you at-a-glance item comparisons for your level. Basically; 2 stars are "this is average for your level", anything above is considered better. It's fucking retarded and simply DOESN'T work, I've had items collected at the start of the game that offer far better advantages than most anything found later... despite being classed as 0-star items. It's for the retards.

"Hurr Durr!! This sword got five starz, hurr durr! It must be better than the others that only have 1 star!"

really loved this from meta

>The best RPG combat ever. Not gaming's best story, but maybe its best storytelling. Darker, sexier, better. What is best in life? Obviously bribed reviews.

That's why I asked. I've seen and got Items with just 0 stars, but they've got surely better benefits sometimes. Ty sabin.

(Oh boy, I'll post my review here after I finished the game. But it won't be a good one. I'll try to be as objective as possible but this will be hard... not a good thing that I nearly fall asleep countless times while playing the game.

After a few hours with the game I feel justified to say that it is actually even worse than expected. Combat boils down to holding down "R" 90% of the time. This fails as an RPG and it fails as an action slasher. DAO at least had some redeeming qualities, this has none whatsoever.

Go to your DA2 install folder\addins\da2_prc_one\

Open manifest.xml in notepad and change the following line:
Code:
RequiresAuthorization="1" to RequiresAuthorization="0"

Then remove the line that says MID="200"

So I decided to try the game for shits and grins. I was surprised that on my old shitty computer it runs damn smooth on high, 2xaa, at a measly 1360x768. It doesn't look great but doesn't look terrible. (dx9 of course, 9800gtx+ so no dx11 for me. Smile )

You may have DirectX v11 installed but you will not be able to run DX11 games/programs the *require* those features. Things like 3dmark won't even run since the card doesn't support the dx11 features. Yeah, DA2 will run and it'll let you select DX11 but notice that in the config tool it says "if available." On a non dx11 card it just reverts to dx9. For me it looks identical and runs identical whether I've got dx9 or dx11 selected.

Nope, it reverts to DX10 or DX10.1. That why you can select high settings with DX11 renderer, but not if you use DX9 renderer.

I can select high settings with the DX9 renderer. That's how I played it the first time. I can't select Very High, of course, because I only have a 512mb card so haven't bothered to download the texture pack.

Nope, it doesn't work. Stop posting this crap. Didn't work in DA:O and surely won't work in DA2. Just wait an hope this guy emerges from the shadows again and delivers an encrypter or something like that.

1. Go to your DA2 install folder\addins\da2_prc_one\
2. Open manifest.xml in notepad
3. Find this line:<AddInItem UID="DA2_PRC_ONE" Name="DA2_PRC_ONE" ExtendedModuleUID="campaign_base" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1" BioWare="1" MID="200" RequiresAuthorization="1">

6. Go to your DA2 install folder\addins\da2_prc_seb\

9. Change above line to this: <AddInItem UID="DA2_PRC_SEB" Name="DA2_PRC_SEB" ExtendedModuleUID="campaign_base" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1" BioWare="1">

How did you login and activate the DLC if you don't own a legit copy of the GAME?

You don't activate the DLC or anything. All DLC is attached to your account, so all you gotta do is to buy the DLC on your account, log in to it in DA2 and that's it. It doesn't matter if the game is pirated or not, it works like with mmo game, everything is account based, the game client doesn't matter. It works the same with DAO or ME2 DLCs.

The problem is that parts of the dlc are encrypted or something, or at least there was a problem like that with DAO. i dont think methods like this are gonna work.

I'll be trying that game out in the next weekend. I dont even care if its crap, as I wont pay if it is. If Bioware doesnt manage to do good RPGs anymore, other companies will. (I'm looking at Pyranha Bytes and CP Project RED)
