It's not shorter, just leveling up takes a little slower, and it is more difficult to master one specialty tree.

Yeah they just took out all the "useless" points in between ability/trait unlocks. Now every point gives you something apart from a generic stat increase.

EDIT: FUUUU i have to start up the vpn every time i want to play Evil or Very Mad

The fun part is, it still says on their own page that release date is march 1st, then, they relocked it for us here in Sweden.. Very Happy

It's according to them, released here, but, I guess....they hadda relock it.. Smile

What I meant Dezztryoy (EDIT: And WizarD) is that instead of re-encrypting the archive the game status was merely changed to preload-complete/not yet released.

In order to work around this first create a "Steam_AppID.txt" file under "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\Common\dawn of war ii - retribution_".
(I don't think it's necessary but I renamed the folder so no updates would enforce encryption or such though it seems unlikely to happen.)

Then in the text file write the application ID of the game, in this case 56400 ( http://store.steampowered.com/app/56400/ )

Now start DoW2.exe directly from the game folder (Steam shortcut won't work as it uses a Steam command to run it.), Steam will have to be running in the background though as it's not cracked or anything like that from these smaller adjustments, mostly just allows to directly play the game should it be useful, won't conflict with anything either as long as the AppID is correct, anyway after this the game will start up normally and you will be able to keep playing the game even if it's not officially released. Smile

EDIT:

(Didn't know what to begin with so I did every campaign up to just after the tutorial mission.)
