					| Had pretty much the same thing with my dog. At one time his vision just went out almost completely, started bumping into things and all that. Would be a funny sight if it wasn't so awfully sad at the same time. We did the injection... he had a long and eventful life at least..over 15 years it was. I was in luck since I managed to distance myself from all this towards the end, since I knew what was coming.
You can't really do much about this, he's nearing his time. If not now, you will have to do it sooner or later anyway, and it's highly doubtful things will improve in the meanwhile. As sad as it is, you will have to accept this fact (easier said than done, I know).

					| Euthanasia. He's lived a lot considering the duration of a dog's life. Plus, I'd also be pissed if he shits and pisses all over without any kind of control.

					| I have experienced this with 2 dogs in my short 21 year old life :/
I know how hard it seems now to let him go, but if you get him the injection you will soon realize that he has finally gotten the peace he deserved.
I know it seems like a shame to put him down for you, but he is in pain both physically and mentally. Every time he defecates inside he will be ashamed of himself etc.
I loved the dogs I had in my early life and putting them down seemed like a shame to me at the time, but that doesnt hide the fact they also were in pain. I am this day glad I gave them the peace they deserved.

					| Dog's don't realy live long, a lot of people don't think about it when they decide to adopt. My foxterrier had to be put down because of cancer, and I regret I did it so late.

					| My dog was 18 and was like this for only 2 months.
We knew his back legs were going for about a year, but one day, we all got up n he couldn't stand up at all.
His eyes were rolling round as if he was going blind.
And we took him too the vets and he was put to sleep
   Very bad time, everyone upset.
But it was for the best.
He's no use to himself, let alone you/me at the time.

					| I had to put my first dog down at 4 yrs. She got really sick and had no quality of life. Looking back I should of done it sooner. I kept her going for me, I was selfish.

 I'm sorry mate..
I think it's the right thing to do in these cases though, at least it's what I'd do when my cat (almost 18 years old) will start to succumb to pain and the inevitable signs of aging losing her her self-sufficiency). Rip | |

					| It's for the best. You loved your dog and you had great time together, cherish those moments and look back with happiness, not sadness.
And also get a new dog, that can always help.

					| Your reasoning for keeping him alive is based on purely egoistical arguments.
The dog is suffering and you're allowing it to do so because you think it's cute in-between its fits of agony.

 Yes, yes I'm back.
 Somewhat.

					| I've been there with my own dog and trust me the humane thing is putting it down. A blind aching dog is in perpetual pain and doesnt understand whats happening and is constantly scared
just think of that..not gonna help one bit I miss my dog like hell but you will feel like shit if oyu keep it alive :/

 condolences mate

I think you are doing the right thing too. I know it is going to be hard. I kept having phantom dog, like thinking she was right behind me. It was hard, I really missed her. I know I did the right thing.
