Yeah but this episodes we're also not planned at the start of the show as far as i know.
I thought they wrote this six to fill up the time so the main actor could recover. 
Anyway... anyone knows when season 3 starts to air?

Spartacus - Blood and Sand is Season 1 and Spartacus - Gods of The Arena is Season 2
I doubt there will be a season 3. Like Rome. Rome had 2 seasons and then they came out with Spartacus. And in April Game of Thrones begins and that looks kickass.
Next Fall or next January, some other Rome/Spartacus show will debut.
Those type of shows (along with True Blood) draw the biggest audiences as they have something for everyone - straight, gay, man, woman, like fighting, like drama, like romance, like thriller etc
Its one of those series' that has something for everyone. So there will be another one next Fall or next January, but it probably won't be Spartacus.
As for the Series Finale that debuted earlier, I thought it was excellent.
Good get Spartacus - Blood and Sand and Spartacus - Gods of the Arena...watch God's first as intended and then Blood and Sand
Same goes for Rome...wouldn't mind watching both season's again. Excellent series. |

great show love everything about it except for the main spartacus guy not returning.
but i think this show is good enough for me to not be too cringeworthy when they replace spartacus 's character with another (hate when shows replace characters like you wouldnt notice).
can't wait for next series to start.

What the hell are you all talking about? They didn't "tell us" there would be a second season by the first season's ending, they officially announced it.
Gods of the Arena was not season 2, it was a prequel to season 1; the real season 2 will continue at some point after season 1, but with Liam McIntyre instead of Andy Whitfield as Spartacus, because the latter was struck by non-Hodgkin lymphoma (bless him). Due somewhere in early 2012

I just got around to watching blood and sand. It is without a doubt one of the best if not the best series I have ever seen. It sucks that Andy won't be back for season 2, or maybe ever, but damn I was riveted for every episode after the first one.
Still have to watch the prequel series but damn... wow. It's as if everything was perfect. Shit wasn't dragged out, you got closure, there was the right mix of drama, action, etc. There's enough material and left overs to start again for season 2... it was just perfect to me. This is how a series should be done.
