You are technically right that ZDPP doesn't have anything to do with the keys (I mentioned it to indicate the title is well protected - a further hint that the old tricks won't work this time), however as I already said the game uses SSA so there you go.

1. Unpack the release
2. Mount or burn image
3. Install using our keygen from the SKIDROW folder
4. Copy all files from the SKIDROW folder to the game installation
5. Play the game
6. Support the companies, which software you actually enjoy!

As I have the Clone DVD already installed I know it, of course. I'm just saying that perhaps the time the Steam version will unlock for downloading is when the ZDPP servers will start decrypting files. And that's the only timer available to us to check..
