It was more of a Hollywood production though, and Ang Lee was the director - he'd done english speaking stuff already.
Assassination Of Richard Nixon - 4/10 - I agree with Griffon, there is some great acting here (especially from Penn) and there's nothing really wrong with the film. But it's so pedestrian and unoriginal that it can be quite torturous to sit through. Penns character also is not fleshed out well enough, it's too 'straight' for the entire length of the film.
Gets a little brutal at the end as well. Wasn't expecting that.
the Woodsman - 4/10 - applaud the idea of approaching this topic but the end result is very unsatisfying and the conclusion just plain dumb when you consider the holes it leaves behind.
Ultimately the film doesn't really address any specific issues, or raise any interesting questions. It's also built upon many contrivances that will require your acceptance.
It's interesting to see it from the perspective of the 'bad guy' in a role that allows (but doesn't force) you to sympathise/understand. But it doesn't offer anything at the end of the day.
Sin City - 6/10 - Style over substance. Every time. A lot of the film is actually rather boring, and flat. I found myself half asleep - no matter how inviting the visuals appear to be at first they soon become par for the course and there's nothing new or fresh to bring you out of your daze.
There's nothing particular clever or new about this either (it's typical Rodriguez or Tarantino fare).
For me, Clive Owen and Britanny Murphy gave two of the best performances and were involved in the best segment.
Criminal - 5/10 - If it weren't for the highly implausable and seemingly tacked on ending I'd give this a six. It's not very original, it's not particularly exciting, hell it's not really that good a movie - but the performances and script drive it along and keep you enticed to the screen.
Sleek, slick and intelligent con artists it may be about - but it's the actors and their dalliances who carry the film. Very nice to watch them smooth talk one another.

Team America - 3/10 (I lost around 30-50 IQ points by watching this crap...) |
...................I'm guessing you don't like South Park either. I loved Team America. Laughed my ass off. One of the funniest movies of last year.
I think the last movie I watched was The Motorcycle Diaries. I'd give it around a 7/10. Although I thought the story was good, acting was good, and I enjoyed most of it the REALLLLY slow pacing hurt it.
And about Sin City I'm sorry but I really have to give it a 10/10. I loved every minute of it. I love film noir. It lived up to my expectations and then some. And I didn't find it slow or boring at all. Went by really quick for me.

Excellent Observation Dr. Watson.
Bowfinger - 8/10 - This is one of the best comedies I saw in a very long time. Frank Oz (Yoda) is one of the best comedy directors!
Alone In The Dark - Uwe Boll/10 - If you never watched Bowfinger I highly recommend to first watch Alone In The Dark so you will get an idea of what a "Cheap Movie" is.
About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.
Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

Would have been even better if a more surealist director had taken charge - Jean Pierre Jeunet or Terry Gilliam would of been big names to take over. It's nice film, but pedestrian and the visuals are boring.
Family film.

Because you don't understand the jokes?
I don't know how you can call South Park stupid. Not funny, maybe. Boring, maybe, but not stupid. It’s smarter than the Simpsons and at times funnier than Family Guy.

There's been a recent rumor saying that Daniel Craig (Tomb Raider, Road to Perdition, and recently The Jacket and Layer Cake) will be the next bond.

LOL. Yeah that Daniel Craig guy was just recently. Like early this week or last week rumor. I would like Owen as Bond though. I think he would be good.

I thought Clive Owen was utter shite in King Arthur, thats put me right off him. He would make a shit bond, although i've never seen any of his other movies.
