No, my old 8800GTX could run Crysis on high (not "DX10" Highest ) at 720p@30fps.
The absurd is, even in 2007 on a 8800GTX on not the highest settings, Crysis still looks far superior than the Crysis 2 turd.

Not in 1920x1080, of course. But we are talking about minimum requirements for different game.
That is supposed to mean almost choppy experience in 800x600 at low settings.
Yet, same card runs Crysis on high with 50+ fps on 1024x768, and Crysis on high is hardly outdated for today standards.

Nah that was in the old days. Today minimum req is about the same as console expearience that means 720p with medium settings.

'High' is not 'Very High' and 1024x768 is far from 'High'.

Yep used to run crysis on high with some custom veryhigh i think on my old XFX 8800 GT Alpha Dog, and very, very fluid it was.
(On 1280x1024 cos were on an 19 monitor)
Whats the surprise on this, doc?

I like how every interview turns into "WEN CONZOLES?!"

Just like every other game: if you're stuck with a monitor from 98 or have no properly working eyes there will be no noticeable difference.

Lol,that sounds GOOD!
I mean wtf,why is everything "console" talk these days? Full HD(and what about beyond that,hmmm?),30 fps with high end machine(really?),no noticeable gfx difference...
I know it's all pr(for the console it seems),but still they could do better.

Looks like the two games are coming from different generations, with DA2 clearly being a PS2 port

Stunning visuals. I guess DA2 is going to pale not only gameplay-wise but also in comparison to the gorgeous graphics of The Witcher 2.

The Witcher 2's cutscenes ARE IN-ENGINE. What is so monumentally brain-frying about that? Same as the first game, they're not CG/rendered. So comparing both TW2 and DA2 is valid.

Well, DA2 is a multiplatform title and TW2 is a PC-exclusive. I recon all the screenshots are either from the console version or from the PC version run at medium settings - which is basically the same.
Nevertheless even if you just look at the art direction TW2 looks superior.

TW2 is not PC exclusive.
It's been made from the start with console version in mind. Whether they'll go through with the console version or not I dunno, but they've said it like 200 times.

Indeed. This is why there is only control scheme this time around.

Actually, it is PC exclusive. Until made otherwise.
Note that while CD Project does like to do console version, it doesn't mean it will actually be done. Still, they took precautions, so that level design UI and other game elements don't impede progress on some future console port, when or if it's done.

What they've said 200 times is that their "technology supports the current generation of consoles" and that they would love to make a console version. But their focus currently is the PC version and whether there will be a console version depends on how well it sells on the PC.
Whereas it is a completely different story for DA2 - their target customer base is on the consoles and that's what they are focusing on.
