No, my old 8800GTX could run Crysis on high (not "DX10" Highest Laughing) at 720p@30fps.

The absurd is, even in 2007 on a 8800GTX on not the highest settings, Crysis still looks far superior than the Crysis 2 turd. Laughing

Not really, even my 8600 GT does better than that in Crysis.

Now THAT I find hard to believe Wink But fair enough, if you believe it then it must be true .. and I'm not being dragged into another "my comp can do this and this!" argument.

Not in 1920x1080, of course. But we are talking about minimum requirements for different game.

That is supposed to mean almost choppy experience in 800x600 at low settings.

Yet, same card runs Crysis on high with 50+ fps on 1024x768, and Crysis on high is hardly outdated for today standards.

Nah that was in the old days. Today minimum req is about the same as console expearience that means 720p with medium settings.

'High' is not 'Very High' and 1024x768 is far from 'High'.

I like how every interview turns into "WEN CONZOLES?!"

Any Witcher 2 console version will contain no “visually noticeable” difference over the PC SKU.

Just like every other game: if you're stuck with a monitor from 98 or have no properly working eyes there will be no noticeable difference.

The producer wouldn’t confirm a recommended spec, however.

I don’t want to name detailed specs, but if you consider a high-end machine with at least one of the best, if not the best, graphics card or processor on the market, you will be able to play the game with full detail and full HD and is going to be smooth. At least, like, I don’t know that, 30fps."

Lol,that sounds GOOD! Cool Face
I mean wtf,why is everything "console" talk these days? Full HD(and what about beyond that,hmmm?),30 fps with high end machine(really?),no noticeable gfx difference...

I know it's all pr(for the console it seems),but still they could do better.

I'm really looking forward to The Witcher 2. The first one was glorious, so I have high hopes and expectations of the sequel.

There's no denying it looks super nice but it really depends on the context of those screens, not like it will look that nice when playing it, as much as I'd love that Wink

Why wouldn't it? Those are in-engine shots and the first game was exactly the same; the cutscenes were made using in-engine assets and scripting.

Stunning visuals. I guess DA2 is going to pale not only gameplay-wise but also in comparison to the gorgeous graphics of The Witcher 2.

Cutscenes sure, but that's not the comparison above it's Witcher 2 cutscene shots versus DA2 ingame shot isn't it? Pointless comparison.

The Witcher 2's cutscenes ARE IN-ENGINE. What is so monumentally brain-frying about that? Same as the first game, they're not CG/rendered. So comparing both TW2 and DA2 is valid.

Well, DA2 is a multiplatform title and TW2 is a PC-exclusive. I recon all the screenshots are either from the console version or from the PC version run at medium settings - which is basically the same.

Nevertheless even if you just look at the art direction TW2 looks superior.

TW2 is not PC exclusive.

It's been made from the start with console version in mind. Whether they'll go through with the console version or not I dunno, but they've said it like 200 times.

Wot? It's the other way around usually. A game looks much better when it's in motion. These are not pre-rendered screens.

Indeed. This is why there is only control scheme this time around.

Actually, it is PC exclusive. Until made otherwise.

Note that while CD Project does like to do console version, it doesn't mean it will actually be done. Still, they took precautions, so that level design UI and other game elements don't impede progress on some future console port, when or if it's done.

What they've said 200 times is that their "technology supports the current generation of consoles" and that they would love to make a console version. But their focus currently is the PC version and whether there will be a console version depends on how well it sells on the PC.
Whereas it is a completely different story for DA2 - their target customer base is on the consoles and that's what they are focusing on.

Technically they said:

Quote:
The main concern we've taken was to make sure our engine would be capable of doing a console game as well.

Which means that it's basically a "masked" multiplatform game imo Wink
