Shadowrun-Razor1911
- Official web page: LINK
- Publisher: Microsoft Games
- Developer: FASA Studio
- Release date: Q1 2007
- Genre: Multiplayer First-Person Shooter
- Story/Description:
Quote: | "Shadowrun" is a multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) based on the much-beloved role-playing game (RPG) franchise. "Shadowrun" propels team-based combat into a new dimension with a revolutionary blend of modern weaponry and ancient magic. In "Shadowrun" players vie for supremacy in a constantly evolving battlefield where advanced technology and ancient magic provide an unprecedented and high-velocity tactical action experience.
Shadowrun will be one of the first games to incorporate Live Anywhere, Microsoft's new initiative that makes it possible for PC and Xbox 360 players to play against one another in multiplayer
The PC version is exclusive to the Windows Vista operating system. |
- Features:
Quote: | * Gametypes—In Raid, RNA Global has secured the area around the artifact but have not yet acquired the knowledge of how to touch or move the artifact. The Lineage, however, has learned the ability to pick up and move the artifact and have decided to raid RNA Global to steal the artifact.
* Environments—Sitting in and around the city of Santos, Brazil, five different areas are being fought over between The Lineage and RNA Global. Each environment will have multiple maps, each with their own objectives.
* Weapons—From the incredibly short-range Katana to the powerful Sniper rifle, weapons in Shadowrun™ play a major role in both tactics and strategy.
* Tech—Cybernetic enhancements and individual enhancements are new technologies on the battlefield but they have already started paying dividends. A properly equipped modern soldier can travel both faster and quieter, gather data at incredible speeds and confuse his enemies in ways the previous generation of soldiers could only dream about.
* Magic—Magic, while often more subtle in use than machine guns or rocket launchers, reshapes the battlefield in ways never before seen.
* Races—The different races in Shadowrun each bring unique abilities to combat. Ranging from the Troll’s hardening ability to the Dwarven capacity for absorbing magic, the race you choose will help decide the flow of the battle around you. |

Code: | The fourth and latest (in production) game is for the Xbox 360, with the working title Shadowrun developed by US company FASA Interactive owned by the Microsoft Corporation, which is also producing the title. However, many fans of the roleplaying game have not appreciated the major changes to story, races, and magic in the Xbox 360 title, and the publishers of the Shadowrun roleplaying game have issued a statement saying, "Microsoft rewrote the timeline and setting for this game, so it is not in continuity with the tabletop RPG. It may be more accurately described as a game loosely based on Shadowrun." |

I always wanted a remake of the game but certainly not as a FPS.The only way it could work is if it's done in a style similar to Deux Ex and in a non linear environement.I seriously doubt that this is what we are going to get with this M$ remake since it seem that the game is going to be more focused on multiplayer.
I predict a crapfest |
don`t forget about Chrono Trigger and Orge Battle

Am I the only one that wishes MS would focus more on games than anything else? They got the money to do just about anything they want, and I've liked and enjoyed every game I played from em.
I never played the original so I guess that's why im not as pissed as all of you

it said multiplayer will be using Live (to play with 360 people), doesn't that cost money?
I hope M$ isn't expecting us to pay monthly (or yearly) for another online fps...

I thought the PC version of this game got the Double Agent treatment? No graphics options, Muddy Textures, Horrible Interface and controls, etc?
