Proekaan, i had the black screen. Use multiman to fix permissions, that did the trick for me!
On another note, played about an hour right now, the 22gb release. So far i'm loving it, much better controls too. The only problem with this release is that sometimes the last part of the dialog in-game gets cut. The cinematics are all good tho!

Pah, how is it that people are playing this after getting it from sources like rapidshare and yet it's not on usenet? Is this what the scene is becoming these days?

Think i can skip right to Killzone 2 then onto 3? I haven't played either Killzone 1 or Liberation. I don't really like skipping story, but 3/4 games of the same will be a bit much to burn through Razz

Well Killzone 1 was better than Killzone 2 so you'll be missing out on a good game with a decent story and different environments. Unlike KZ2 which has no story and only one environment. I played Killzone last year shortly before I played KZ2 and I didn't regret it. If you have a modded PS2 I would play it first (preferably on a tube TV with RGB).

I do have a modded PS2, but only HD-TV's :/ I know my normal xbox looks like shit when played on my tv, but i'm gonna try ps2 on both my TV and my samsung computer/tv screen, hopefully 1 of them got ok picture.

And i found this site: http://www.avforums.com/forums/killzone-ps3/1408590-killzone-story.html which supposedly got the whole storyline from before and after Killzone 1 and 2. I suppose you learn all this when playing the games and this hasn't been written somewhere else for fans?

Same here. On my 37" full HD TV every SD console picture looks like pure crap. PS2, Xbox, Wii - everything. It was completely unbearable that's why my old chunky tube TV stands right next to my HDTV now.

That's probably from the game manuals.

Awesome, thanks! Think I might wait a little though, since there doesn't seem to be any PARs. Usually I don't need them, but a 23GB archive? I'd rather not run the risk Laughing

Thanks though!

wtf so usenet is not getting censored and usenet providers like astraweb removing access to files which Sony and other companies demand are removed? If so, this is the begining of the end of usenet... and my subscription to astraweb also!

What is the easiest way to get the over 9gb file on the internal? Cant be transferred to fat32 and ftp for some reason is only 150kb/s = 20hrs. Any better way to do it?

You need to FTP to internal or use Split4G to put the files on your external, then transfer to internal from inside your backup manager =)

Any harm in grabbing the 40GB Version?

I know it's the 3D release and I don't have a 3D TV but will it still play as normal...?

I'm thinking about going this direction since the 20GB version doesn't have any PARS. I have unlimited Usenet bandwidth so I'm not worried. Smile
