I understand this is a dev build and some (most?) things just don't work, but I was wondering what kind of audio issues you guys are running into? For me, it seems all of the character speech is not there. Is this a normal problem for this build, or are you guys hearing all of their voices and something is fudged up on my end?

To clarify I copy pasted it from facepunch. If they do a PS3 comparison I'll post it.
Something that seems to be downgraded is that.. a tree I was shooting at, no matter how long I was shooting it.. didn't break. Considering that the very first "CryEngine 3 on consoles" techdemo they showed had breakable trees I don't understand why this feature would be absent from the game... Maybe only specific types of trees are breakable? Idk.

WinXP POWAAAA!
My game was freezing at the first flashback in the 2nd chance mission.
Unpacking the videos was a no go to, so I decided to give it a chance with XP and guess what?
Videos run without a hitch and the game is a bit smoother too.

I had the same with the 64bit version. Running the 32bit version all of the voices are there.

One thing I do dislike from how it was in the first game is the more open less restrictive and scripted layout of the maps and how you could progress and act on them, you do have suit modes and can say combine them (Running in speed mode plus ducking doing a slide for example, holding melee / V doing a strength attack instead of normal, stealth killing being available now and such.) overall it feels more limited and narrowed with more of a illusion of a big city environment but with many shortcuts and optimization tricks to fool the player, instead levels are divided into smaller sections with little different ways to progress trough them, overall as mentioned it is very close to a CoD clone albeit on say Hardcore settings in regards to enemy AI, damage received and taken and overall balance.
(Suit is still a very powerful option and the new implementations and changes really help but the five possible difficulty levels - four only visible in this version, fifth being PC specific and possible via console commands - Gamedata.pak\Difficulty\Posthuman.cfg / i_difficulty = 5 or what the command was, comments in said config specifically mentions PC.)
Don't want to spoil anything much and trying to be a bit brief but aside from that one complaint it's a pretty enjoyable FPS but mods and maps will be what saves it as the campaign itself will feel a bit cramped for those who played trough Crysis 1 and enjoyed the various options presented on how to sandbox trough the levels at your own pace.
(And with a lot of possible destruction and interactivity, not just tossing stuff and shoving heavy objects around, and they still do that fuel trick for cars but instead of a dunk on the back there's a case under it with a little bar on so just flip the car with a kick or so and shoot this thing for a homemade bomb trap.)
EDIT:
-- Post Human Warrior/PC
-- g_difficultyLevel = 5

Just mad at game developers for treading the same ground with this tripe in a few recent games.

You can't no longer use a guy as a human shield in one hand and shoot a pistol with the other?
I am disappoint.

One more chapter/part/whatever the fuck left.
Some battles where hard as shit because it was obvious that the AI should have helped me , not just sit there and watch how i get my ass chased by the swarm.

the game its challenging with a REAL absorbing armor and not that shit on the first one, but the customization of the suit its a pain in the ass... i hope in the final build ALL the upgrades you buy, go perma on the suit, and not only a single one for every "finger"

Anyone found a way to increase the draw distance? It's like there's a permanent fog around me.

Damn, this game looks freakin amazing if you are used to the grapics from CoD. Only played the first level and deleted it after. I want to play this game in it full glory.

The more I play it, the more it reminds me of Medal of Honor.
And not just because of the sounds, seems like a slightly less linear, super powered version on MoH.

I remember Crysis MP Beta. The level was huge and beautiful. You could easily go into stealth mode, snipe someone and then dissapear into the jungle; albiet at 30fps.
I think they traded smaller more scripted maps for larger lucious jungles

Is hardcore more advanced than advanced, or is it the other way around?

Isn't there also an "Enthusiast" setting like in Crysis 1?
Hardcore should be the max by definition, but we know that logic doesn't apply in these cases

I was using JBeckman's ini but decided to try the in-game presets.
Advanced looks good enough for me and runs smoothly (as smoothly as you can in this beta that is ) so I'll stick with that.
