Quote:
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

Trailer:

It looks surprisingly good.

Yes, it is indeed very difficult to see where I'm coming from. Rolling Eyes

Spidermans (old and planned new with even younger actors) and Xmens (classes or not) were just that. First two Xmens worked despite of that, but doesn't mean they weren't. "Will he kiss her? Aww... But she will kill him if he does!1 Aww... But he kissed her anyways!1 Daaawwwww..." Rolling Eyes And jeez, Halle Berry? Laughing If she wasn't selected as some "hottest woman" award, no one would take her seriously as an "actress" (or more cynically, if she hadn't showed her tits in Monster's Ball after saying countless times she would never - she wouldn't have won an Oscar either for one of the most wooden and fake performances).

But this one takes the cake.
Jennifer Lawrence
January Jones
Nicholas Hoult
Zoë Kravitz
Lucas Till Laughing
Edi Gathegi Laughing

Loos like a "first class" cast indeed.

Who gives a shit, try to find something else to pick on. At most there were 3 teens shown, most of the cast are adults, so are the leads.

Great trailer! Got me hyped for it! Interesting to see how this one actually pans out, but I really like the two casts as Xavier and Magneto, just hope the trailer can someway live up to the real movie Very Happy

At least I'm more hyped for this then any of the other Comic movies coming out this year.

Now? Laughing When has she ever been good? Her tits are good, her figure is good. But acting is not her strongest talent. Wink

Probably not.

a crappy sex scene with a dude named billy bob does not make her a good actress.

Oh sorry, I thought we were talking about acting, not quality of nude scenes (as I am no longer 12 years old).

so were we. the movie you mentioned is only of merit because of a crappy sex scene, and thats NOT enough to qualify as a good example of her acting abilities.

shes not a good actress, and just because she has an oscar, doesnt make it so. its a popularity accolade, not a quality based one.

Only of merit due to a sex scene? lol wut

Have you even seen the rest of the film? Halle Berry is fucking phenomenal in that role, as is Billy Bob Thornton. Are you really saying that Heath Ledger's tragic turn is completely without merit? What about Marc Forster's direction, and the exquisite cinematography? Asche and Spencer's haunting score?

Also, how are you judging the sex scene? In terms of how much of a boner it gave you, or in terms of the rawness of the performances and the way it depicted the use of sexuality as a way to suppress grief?

I just have to break my wow of silence ( damn now I need to wait until next round number -.-"), but wth?!

The trailer didn't show anything! How can you say: Oh it's so amazingly good and derp derpy derpidy derp.

Are you high or sth? Or maybe I just didn't watch the same trailer.

I have no expectations about this movie. I'll see it but with a great dosage of skepticism beforehand...

Jeez...

Jeez...

If you wanna know the plot go read the plot line. Beside it shouldn't be that hard to figure it out, it is X-Men Laughing

If for one do not want to get into the plot to much, I like to have (hopefully) some surprises or at least the plot will be fresh for me. I just wanted to see some in-film footage and get a "feel", and the trailer did that really well Smile

Have to see how it pans out, could still go either way obviously..

As much as I loved the X-Men movies (despite their obvious... umm... artistic license with the source material) - the trailer for First Class did absolutely nothing for me.

I kinda like the trailer, looked pretty serious, no stupid jokes or shit like that, good music.

Less derp than I expected. I think I like the actors, too.

I always liked X-men and this one has Matthew Vaughn directing it, so I can't wait. This is a brilliant opportunity to focus on the division between Xavier and Magneto.
