I haven't played an adventure game in many, many years. Are they any good? Can someone recommend me one which is somewhat recent?

Regarding A New beginning, I have played the German version. It's an ok game but nothing to write home about. The only thing that stands out is probably the eco message behind the events there, and that the animations are all hand-made, just like in the last game from that studio, The Whispered World. Graphic whores will cry for DX11, HDR, and 4096 resolutions but those animations have a certain kind of charme.

In amazon.co.uk its IN STOCK allready fro few hours from the last night almost 20 hours.
When do you think a scene release here will be ?
I cant buy the game since there is no digital download version and im in Israel and delivery iwll take few days.
Its a shame they didnt release a digital version of the game.

I sent email to Daedalic who did the game and they told me:
"
Hi Daniel,
please write an E-Mail to Steam, that you like to buy the game in their
store. It would help us very much, when you and all other adventure
players, who like to buy A New Beginning digitally to do so. We
presented the game three times to them. They refused to take it. The
game were voted best german game in 2010.
We are still hope to bring the game on Steam. All other digital
platforms are not a problem, but we hope to bring it at first on steam.
They said, that these kind of games don't match with the usual user.
Later on the game will definitely on the Adventure Gamers Shop and
GamersGate.

Why its not on gamersgate or other digital sites i dont know.
From many ppl that played the game in english ppl from the uk they told me the game is great one of the best ever!
The game won prizes in germany.
Cant figure out why those sites dosent allow the game to be on for digital version.

If they sell it in english limited to england and uk only as you can see we dont have a scene release yet. And since the adventure games genere isnt so popular in the world i mean the market isnt so big so they want to earn something this way from ppl like me who buy the game and many others.
And my guess later on they will put it on gamersgate or other sites even if they know the game will get hack fast.
Maybe the reason is something else dunno.
