The whole point of CryEngine3 was to make it runnable on consoles. They optimised it, lowered the specs and it will ultimately be lighter and less power hungry than CryEngine2.

They also added some gimmicks such as DX11 support/3D to the PC version in order to mask it

In other words, They are displaying a turd with gorgeous lighting FX...

Is it already known what DX11 will offer over DX10 in Crysis 2? Is it only tessellation or is there anything else?

Is it official that there won't be a SP demo before release?

We don't have official answers for neither.

We just know that there will be a demo. We also know that the X360 demo was MP only.
Chances are that the PC demo will be the same as the X360 demo but that's not official, just an educated guess.

The PS3 and X360 configs have very little with visuals to do, seems mainly related to certain engine changes though I have no idea how the game/SDK reads them and what other settings are applied over it.

r_multithreaded=2
e_LodRatio=5
e_CoverageBufferResolution=128
e_lodmin = 0

s_CacheFillRatio = 0.7
s_VariationLimiter = 1
s_Obstruction = 1
s_ObstructionAccuracy = 1
s_ObstructionUpdate = 0.5
s_SoundMoodsDSP=1
s_ReverbType=2

p_num_threads=2
d3d9_pip_buff_size = 24

g_breakage_mem_limit = 5000

That's the X360 config, LOD values are altered somewhat and a number of sound related changes and engine specifics regarding multi-threading.

e_VegetationSpritesDistanceRatio=0.95
r_VegetationSpritesTexRes = 128
e_LodRatio=3

r_PS3ConstBufferAdjustment=128
e_PhysMinCellSize = 4

r_multithreaded = 1

i_forcefeedback = 0

e_GsmCache = 1
e_GsmRange = 4
e_GsmRangeStep = 4.5
e_GsmLodsNum = 3

e_CoverageBufferResolution = 128
e_CoverageBufferMaxAddRenderMeshTime = 100
e_CoverageBufferVersion = 3
r_ConditionalRendering = 2
sys_physics_CPU = 1
spu_enable = 1
e_ParticlesSPU = 0
r_UseGSParticles = 0
e_OcclusionCullingViewDistRatio = 1.0
r_deferredshadingstencilprepass = 1
r_ShadowsDepthBoundNV = 1
r_DeferredShadingDepthBoundsTest = 1
e_WaterTesselationAmount = 6
r_VSync = 1
spu_flipmode = 1
r_PS3HalfResRendering = 1

s_CacheFillRatio = 0.7
s_VariationLimiter = 1
s_Obstruction = 1
s_ObstructionAccuracy = 1
s_ObstructionUpdate = 0.5
s_SoundMoodsDSP=1
s_ReverbType=2

e_ProfileLevelLoading=0

p_num_jobs = 4
g_no_secondary_breaking = 1
g_tree_cut_reuse_dist = 1
g_breakage_mem_limit = 2000

es_maxphysdistcloth=300

e_particlesMaxScreenFill = 16
e_particlesMinDrawPixels = 0.7

r_FogDepthTest = 0 // with HDR enabled on PS3 we merge Fog pass with HDR decode pass - so we cannot have this nice optimization anymore
r_Refraction = 2 // enable reads from destination render targets - avoid copies

r_Height = 704
e_DecalsMerge=0
e_statobjmerge=0
e_LevelAutoPrecacheCgf = 1

e_coveragebufferaccurateobbtest = 1
e_shadowsocclusionculling = 1
e_coveragebufferbias=3

And that's the PS3 config, some compatibility workarounds and a number of changes such as resolution and visuals though nothing major, possibly due to the somewhat slower architecture of the PS3 GPU.

(Of course these are from the initial April 2010 SDK and could have changed heavily by now.)

Nope, she must be hiding among those distant trees since the assisted aiming is pointing that way lol wut Cool Face

Jokes apart, that graphics looks great, though I fear they will be quite heavy on the hardware...

Ya actually that is the farcry engine, look at those ground textures and geometry at his feet and the shitty weapon model, not to mention he is running 90+fps on very high settings with only 433mb or ram being used?
