omfg... started my "new game+" to find out that the elite suits aren't obtainable due to a bug... (except the one from the store).
What bugs?
Weren't elite and prototype suits be unluckod in just new game, not new game+ ?
Elite Suits are only in "New Game+" and they're bugged on the PC version. The shematics aren't obtainable. VG said they're working on a fix. Seems we have to wait for an update I guess. (Source: Twitter DeadSpace)
Its the +17 one, its the only trainer with the unlock doors option. I wouldnt normally buy one either but i was conviced i could open the conduit rooms with it and that the hacker suit would be there.
Uh, I need that trainer, but I'll wait for a free version...
is there a way to improve the amount of ammo u can keep in the inventory ?
its pretty limited or is it improved with new suits upgrades?
You should at least play the game 15 minutes instead of complaining about it online, also beat the game in 7 hours on survivalist first run, it was alright scary for the first half but got more action packed the last half, still found my self jumping all the time.
Make sure you lower your brightness as much as you can it makes it so much better, the deaths are great as well, very detailed and gory and they get worse and more bloody the farther you go in the game.
After completeing the game after 7h30min on normal i gotta say its basically more of the first game. We thought that it would turn into a more of action packed game and less horrory. Indeed for me it was less horror but maybe it was just that i had played the first game and knew what was coming. The mouse controls were better this time around definately. Most of the monsters fell down quickly but the black necromorphs were bastards to kill this time around again. The story was mostly the same again. Try to escape and fix things on the way. Only big problem i saw is that the game took place on a space station. Fine by me but it didnt feel very Space Stationi. Supposedly there were living about a million people on the station yet there very little other human experiences in the game. There must have surely been someone else surviving the infestation. If a lonely engineer can fend them off someone trained can do it also. Yes there was Ellie who you meet up and Nolan the other crazy dude and only 1 pair of NPCs trying to run back to their room while you were fighting necromorphs. They could have maybe added a section to the game where you fight some corridors with a partner. Also they made Isaac into a whiny bitch by giving him a voice. Every NPC interaction he was all whiny yet this he is this awesome ENGINEER who survived the ordeals on Ishimura and now on the Sprawl and he is actually a little whiny bitch. COMON! Other than that yeah if you liked the First game you will like this one too. More of the same.
Any news of the DLC hitting the PC? Im talking about the DLC where you follow the story of the Dead Space Extraction characters instead. About their survival on the Sprawl.

Are you sure it's a real update? Strange that the Steam version was first updated and there are no reports on the official twitter channel etc..

The Multi 6 rip that was uploaded before the game was cracked was called "Limited" or "Extended" Edition and it was supposed to have an extra (unitologist) suit and a gun or something.
1) Is this missing from the FLT release? (I guess so, since I didn't find such suit during my playthrough)
2) Does the Multi 6 REALLY have that extra suit and gun? Can somebody confirm that it's usable in game?
Thanks ^^

Anyone that has the Multi 6, please tell me if the extra items are indeed there

They're implemented as codes for use with the extras menu, might even require you to be logged in to function and to "limit" code re-use so they're more unique or some such.
(Similar to how Hot Pursuit functioned and how Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 1 were designed to work but that was side-stepped.)
EDIT: What I mean is that if you check the CE it'll say it comes with bonus unlock codes for the unitologist suit and that gun (Rivet or whatever it was called.)
(Rest is using save from DS1 and/or Ignition or trainer with unlock functionality.)

Funny thing about the DS1 save. Ds2 automatically detected my Ds1 installation and gave me that refurbished Plasma Cutter, didn't have to do anything

So you mean if I download the CE/Multi 6 I won't be able to use the extra items because I don't have the codes?
Also isn't there an unlock for playing the iphone game as well? I think so..

I would assume that's how it works, just saw that IPhone advert as well though I think that's a multiplayer related skin unlock so less important.
(Compared to hiding SP features or locking down certain sections like those rooms for Ignition, not much but would be nice to have it all unlocked.)
Perhaps the codes could be used if it's just to unlock extras if they don't go via the EA server for authorization.
For the DLC and extra chapter that's coming in some time none of the actual DS1 DLC ever saw a PC release either but it was mostly re-skinned items with slightly different (Often unbalanced such as 60% armor.) statistics from how I understood it.
EDIT: So it's doubtful we'll ever see actual DLC for PC in regards to DS2 and there's not much to work with either.
(X360 uses the LIVE interface for it and I guess PSN has something similar, I messed around with the Dead Rising chapters and those worked as individual stand-alone programs so that's also a possible implementation method, although not for PC since you can't do much with the .xex file as far as I'm aware.)

Just finished it. Great game, better than the first IMO. 9/10
Took me 8 and a half hours to finish, exploring every corner, and I rushed a bit near the end.
Spoiler:
Loved the Ishimura chapter, great ambiance, and I also found it to be much scarier than the rest of the game.
The story also seems very good and is told very well however I missed some details(like what was the purpose of the needle machine?), still looking for a good online source for an explanation. Love the interactions with Nicole, and the part where Stross picks out Elises eye and shows it to you gave me the chills.
I found the last level frustrating, where I didn't find it clear whether I was supposed to run or fight the necros. After about 6 deaths during various times at that level (more than I died through the entire game), I decided to just sprint past everyone to the end. Aside from that, I have no complaints.
EA COO John Schappert said that Dead Space 2 was “approaching 2 million units sold-in”
