I think it would be a rather WISE move on their part to release a PC demo, I'm sure they have read plenty of forums with bashing. Including their own.
PC Specs: A Maganavox' Odyssey
Tweaked to play Frogger, Lemmings & GTA4

Currently it's one of their stronger PC franchises (though they're turning it into a console franchise..), so yes it would be madness if they released console only demos unless MSONY paid them for exclusivity (which is speculated to be the case for Crysis 2 demo appearing only on 360)

No need to speculate about the Crysis 2 demo.
There is no other sensible reason to explain why a demo would be platform exclusive. Literally none.

All bets are open!
The 360 exclusivity is quoted at 1:1, while the release of a demo for the PC at 1:100

You're really comparing it to Ubisoft DRM? Come on. All they're asking is for you to login once in a while, while it's tied in with their shitty EA social site, it's pretty decent of them.

Or you can buy it on Steam (unless you're living in Europe).

You, Sir, have won the prize for most outragous remark on the internet. Well done.
Seriously... If you buy a game, then expect to jump through hoops, because that's how the industry is. Fact is, it's a very slight form of DRM (nothing as intrusive as a disc check, for instance), won't be on the Steam version (which is the largest digital distro platform out there), and if you're playing it through EA's own downloader, you won't notice it anyways.
Rather this than a disc check, and they're both as easy to crack for the Scene, so if you're pirating it, you won't care either way.

Buy the Steam version, that doesn't have additional DRM.

EA: screwing the customers since the nineties. Between copyright and freedom, I'll always chose freedom. Steam version it's indeed a bit friendlier, but it's still plagued by a DRM that I don't like. I'm fine with CD-checks or CD-keys. I'm fine with putting the disc in the unit (though it would be even better if the EULA would allow me to back-up the discs and the mechanisms that existed in the common CD writers would be reintroduced in the DVD and Blu-Ray writers). Some might remember the times when the hardware could bypass the protection making a 1:1 copy. At the request of the industry those mechanisms were removed.
Back to DA2: the game looks more like Dynasty Warriors on steroids. RPG?! Seriously, where?! Everything points towards a Mass Age/Dragon Effect. The character customization was replaced with a character choice of gender and what that character would look like. If the character editor it's identical with the one in ME, you know how limited your choices will be. The dialogues, ah yes, who needs those. Do something as ME/Alpha Protocol hybrid and all the fanboys will be happy. Who needs text in this age and day. I expect that even the inventory would look like the one in ME2. The only thing that might save DA2 will be the atmosphere, if they've bothered to create one. But you can't seriously expect that something that worked in an action RPG like ME to work identically in a fantasy setting....

Timed exclusivity is still exclusivity.

The PC forums should have a sub-forum called Derpified, its where we put games like this so we can talk about real games.
