It trully was bloody awful. I finished it in 20 hours doing all the stuff and I can't even say how many mistakes were in that game because the game itself was one big mistake. No, I'm not talking here about the shitload of bugs, but mistakes that made the game look like it was developed by 10 year old kids. I'm definately going to play it again when they release this. It would be damn great if the new team, Mad Vulture Games, would take all the rights for the franchise from JoWhores, then start a complete new story in this great universe with the help from the guys at Piranha Bytes.

Very good news for some of you maybe. I didn't really care about it. With or without that micro stuttering, it's pretty much the same in a Gothic game for me.

Why don't they just compile every type of shader for each of the graphic setting and have them ship with the game or am i missing something ???
Better info here on my question, as its mainly the community patch thats fixing the stuttering something that the devs never did

They should add a Compile button in the settings or a cmdline flag, that compiles all the shaders at once. You have to wait a couple of minutes but have a stutter free gaming experience.

Good idea. For example, Battlefield 2 does this on first launch, any time graphics settings change and also video driver updates.
