well, guess what i like about using the ripper. instant item extraction and not having to walk towards it. added bonus: its noise freaked the hell out of my neighbour at 3am Laughing

@deelix: disk switch point is right after where you battle the armored fatass (miniboss from DS1) in a rather large area, with the bitch and the nutter standing a floor above screaming around

There should come a lot more of those necromorph children and eventually you can proceed through the door upstairs.

There's some shitty retexture dlc up just like DS1. I don't mind dlc that adds levels and new stuff but this nickel and dime shit is insulting.

i had the same but on the 360 version and another one when i fell though a floor and yet another one when i clip though a closed door into space ... and yet another one in school play when you are on the stage and hack the curtain controls

kinda shocked that a AAA EA title like this has clipping issues on models

How did you solve that? Just by reloading? Cause that did not work for me.

I am pleasant surprised by Dead Space Extraction
on the ps3, nice gfx and it feels like a "horror roller coaster".

Did anyone happen to catch the homage to Jurassic Park with the "Clever girls" trophy after fighting those crazy Raptor-like beasts in the cathedral section?

14 chapters, not 11 Wink

Like I said earlier, I finished the game on Normal in less than 8hrs .. which is just sad. Great fun but too short Sad Oh well, at least they didn't fob us off with some bullshit cliff-hanger ending ... what we got was definitely acceptable.

its 15 chapters if you have to be specific on the number of those, needed only like 9h10min on Zelot (they are psychotic about hardcore with its 3 save system) but for me there are only 11 chapters because some of those chapters are so short [like 10min SHORT] that you go Confused WTF [there are only there to show a story cut-scene]

ps. you can reply to a ignored user when you press quote on someone other post without removing ignore Wink

Disc change is not on chapter 5. I am currently in mid-chapter 6 and didn't have to change the disc yet. But anyway, this is so unimportant...

But I find there are way too few shopping stations. You always have to carry around a lot of ballast, like schematics ans conductors, which only use up inventory space. And then the next shop is like 20 or 30 minutes away...

Disc change happens on beginning of chapter 7.

Yesterday started my first playthrough on Zealot - man, some sections are really tough! Just stopped in the middle of chapter 7. Tomorrow will continue and the first thing to do is to get the Peng treasure. Smile

Probably won't even try the hardcore, 3 saves for 10hrs game is too much for me.

i can post a picture of theirs fucked up rules on hardcore , its the same game like on Zealot [they kill you with one hit and you can kill them with one hit too] but you only get 3 saves ,no checkpoints and IF you die you restart from your last save IF you made a save
so when you die and didn't save you start from Intro ... and to top it of the only thing you get for finishing this is a derp achievement so i pass , the only interesting thing is Newgame+ that has new locations open that where closed in the Original game and new prototype suits/weapons

hfric is right about it having 15 chapters. Just completed the game myself. The shortest chapters are 12 (drilling machine ride) and 15. You change DVD between chapter 6 and 7 btw.
