i actually think it would go more like this: cd+no sf3 == there would be a release out == you'd say "bah, i don't buy this shit games are too expensive anyway/this game is crap/i can't buy it where i live/insert other stupid excuse here.

I take it SC3 has StarForce Professional 3.0 which is why it so hard to crack, if u look at the features.
I guess this is most expensive and not all company's opt for it.
But, since SC3 is on D2D, and there has to be protection on it, would it be the last package? StarForce Proactive 1.1? Anyone?
The last option seems like it'd be rather simple for the crackers of the groups. Since i checked out the site, i can't understand why its not out since SC3 is on D2D. Maybe the groups dont wanna have to buy it with their money only to release it for free to thousands - since they prolly have orig dvd? i dunno
Anyway dude, if u have anymore Starforce questions, i suggest posting it to the sf protection thread. Same goes for securom, safedisc etc
I think most would like to keep this thread to specific things about the game...and while the protection is specific, we've already had enough posts in the earlier days of the discussion to cover SC3 and starforce...hence the reason a thread was created by Razor, i think

consider there are numerous post with installation instructions and what it does or doesnt work with, yeah it is a problem. Ppl have posted nfos, own experience's, other's exxperiences etc the only way to play any cloned dvd of scct is with an external drive
nothing else works
daemon comes out soon (according to site), then i suspect maybe starforce will be pwned. but until then, there is no workaround except the usb option |

Im sorry if im repeating a question but i cba to read all 19 pages which mostly consist of "OMG WTF I H8 STARFORCE!1"-posts.
This usb-drive-thing, is that only a external dvd drive or could u, for example, use a usb2.0 mp3-player somehow?

oh btw, again today, cuz i was bored, i fucked around with sc3 and the latest alcohol...its seems to me that the mini image, the gcw one, will work...but the key i have isnt compatible with that image
Considering i have only found 2 keys, one worked one didnt, i dont know how to go about obtaining the right one.
Are serials listed in the new mini image? if so, i think it may just work
or maybe im hoping to much |

Actually I don't think it will work (at least not with the current alcohol/deamon version).
That 'this is not the right cd-key error' pop-upped at my pc also when mounting mini-image or mounting the clone. A few hours ago I tried it with an external DVD-drive, using the same key, and that worked fine. So I don't think the cd-key is the problem, it's just that the mini-images won't work. (well, I guess it is)

If you believe or not the cd key from the not working mini image is the same key i saw at the original splinter cell that rent 2 days ago....!!!!!!!!
It seems that all splinter cell original disks have the same cd key

Starforce doesnt have unique keys
rather area keys, i was reading about this earlier, which is the reason why i think it will work if u have the right combo of things
For instance, I make a working image of sc3 north american version, then a mini image of north american version, bundle it up, include NORTH AMERICAN serial number.
They're region coded, and I dont see why this wouldnt work....+ plus ive read some posts on other forums where ppl have said they used this method, but they didnt confirm and no one else could...
Since there are French Euro and a german euro floating around, maybe we need a mini image of the german (or french) one, with a german region serial key
since all versions are multi-lang, i dont see a problem...
maybe im wrong, but from all the different ways ive tried to get sc3 to work, it does sound promising.
And btw, there is a CD version of SC3 on PC....google it

Goto alcohol's website, google it. Hit there forum, there is a whole section
devoted to it. Basically, it reads the physical data from the dvd, if iam correct, could be wrong.
As for other instructions, on page 16,17,18 there should be an nfo file posted with the exact steps to run the clone dvd from an external drive |
