my point is it should be an ingame setting. basic human right.

Apart from that high resolution textures (not those designed for the 256MB of VRAM the PS3 has), high precision shaders (not the RSX optimized) and variable draw distance should be basic human rights as well.

It may shock you, but we live in a console-centric world Laughing

Dead Space 2 DLC isn't much, that video and a PDF version of those documents from the CE would be nice though but the force gun and unitology suit seem fairly minor, starting with a plasma cutter if you have a save doesn't quite fit as DLC either and the only other thing is the extra in Dragon Age 2.

http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/67217

I really don't like that suit model though, plus the sword model and visuals make it seem like it's taken from Dragon Age 1. Razz

EDIT: That other stuff on the previous page didn't work unfortunately, release date check (SecuROM 8 is used as the basis of it all.) and that won't pass until Tuesday.

Yeah it's those .vp6 files right, Godfather/CCGenerals engine or some such I think though heavily modified.
(Deferred rendering so no AA under DX9 mode aside from forcing either FSAA in the latest drivers or MLAA via ATI I think, for example.)

Anti piracy protection measures, in this case online activations, even with the game out a date check might be in place or the servers not active yet so there's nothing to work with I'd imagine plus Tages might have fixed that exploit or what it's Reloaded have been utilizing though that's unlikely (SecuROM hasn't improved all that much even with this latest version it seems, as a comparison.)

That said a serial key would solve console piracy altogether, tie it to the profile user and make it unique, detect if it's in use and if so ban all instances of said key and user profiles, periodic updates for offline scanning and comparison could also be done even included among disc stored updates.
(Might not work if people start working over the .xex files and such exe alternatives but then that can be detected as well.)

most of XBLA games already tied to account, and you can Still pirate XBLA/Indie Games even on Non-JTAG consoles... and the current method for this seems to be "undetcable" since nobody got banned/Flagged using this method...

as for Tags, what exploit Tags has?
