This is FANTASTIC news, really great.
I cannot wait to test it - but of course I can't as I'm on 4.2.1 and cannot do untethered jailbreak yet!

i use oplayer on iphone. works better than vlc. vlc goes out of sync if you get a txt. wtf.
ah. isn't there a way to go back in time for the backup? Like different dates?

but what's in the backup? your contacts? can't you sync that with outlook or someshit? Pictures? Save them all through itunes. Music? Sync again. Downgrade and 'restore' your info!

@Horror you need to save your .SHSH files with TinyUmbrella, these don't get deleted (or you can save them on your PC to be sure.
And the fuck is wrong with that Cydia source? Already 3 failed installs because it's downloading so slow the phone goes to sleep and retarded Cydia doesn't support multitasking/background work. Why don't people learn how to program? Supporting background working and multitasking is a matter of minutes to integrate into an existing code.

e-mail them and tell them. Cydia has become a mess. It's only good now for cracked apps. Nothing else. I only click on it when installous needs to be updated.

SHSH are just keys for your boot loader to be able to boot with a certain OS version. So I don't think you'll be able to downgrade to 4.1 if you don't have your 4.1 SHSH files backed up. But you should back your 4.2.1 SHSH files for the future, as well as for future jailbreaks.

I agree about Cydia being a pile of shit. That app is just so unresponsive and buggy.
You always have to wait for one screen to load completely until you can change tabs. And I entered a wrong source one time, and now every time it checks sources, I get an error message how the source is wrong, but I can't fucking remove it because it is not there!
They should seriously update that pice of crap, that can't take more than an hour or so...

What is this? Is it anything to do with Xbox? lol. The only XBMC I know of it Xbox Media Centre. But this is for iPhone? I use AVPlayer which is great for playing media for me so why would I want XBMC?

Active development is for Linux and Windows, and I think the Mac version is also ripe enough for prime time.

Is it just me or is XBMC for the Iphone quite a mess? It seems like they didn't port it properly... The menus are REALLS small, nearly impossible to change settings because of the small icons. And display resolution is locked at 480*320 WTF.
