What about Metro 2033 (Very high settings) and Arma 2 (maxed out) ?

My prediction: the PC would implode on itself in ~five seconds Laughing

In my case, Crysis runs much better than GTAIV.

And besides, Crysis is not a shit port like GTAIV.
Neither are ARMA2 or Metro 2033.

Surely your signature must be old. You're not expecting to play Dead Space 2 on a 32" TV with E4300 CPU and 8800GTS GPU????

it's a 720p TV and with console developed game surely he can play smoothly dead space 2 if the port is not bad. The number of PC games who need high end computer can be count on one hand these days.

Dude, 720p, modern game engine, 8800gts? He won't get anywhere near 50-60fps. And who said anything about high end?

720p is far from "high resolution" in the PC world. But you seem to be the kind of person who think a game is smooth only above 60fps then you're right, he can't play this game...

I wonder what your aim is here. You clearly don't agree with my prediction that the E4300 and 8800GTS will struggle with Dead Space 2, what more is there to say?

Actually I agree with paspeur, if a game is coded right, a 8800GTS should have no problems pulling 60fps at a 1280x720. Shit, even my old 8800GTX (which is a little better than a GTS) could cope well with Crysis at 720p.
"Modern game engine"? Laughing Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a DX9 title, aimed at running "well" (aka 25-30 fps) at 720p "H"D resolution on a 7800GT grade GPU. Wink

Dead Space 1 worked very well on my e4300@3Ghz combined with R4850 on 1280x1024 and that is still my gaming rig. So probobly Dead Space 2 wchich targets same consoles will work more or less the same.

And i'm not an fps whore, stable 30 fps are good enough for me in single player games.

I'm willing to bet that he forgot to add "unlocking MP trophies" in that last sentence. Laughing
