Ok, so I wanted to try to flash my X360 myself.
I currently have another CFW on my drive, I believe it is 1.51. At least I have to patch every game to Wave3 to make it work.
My drive is a Lite-On, and I have a phat console. Also I don't care about getting banned if that is important.

Because flashing LT+ costs about 50€ here, when you do it in a shop, I thought I might go about this myself.
Does anybody have a DECENT tutorial for this? I haven't flashed it myself the first time, so I have no use for just basic instructions.

I am competent with PC's and so on, so I know what to do when it says to connect it via SATA to my PC (probably Wink).
And is there soldering required? I did solder some things already, but I am still a beginner at this. Is it hard? Because if the soldering points are really small, I might skip doing this myself completely and just go to the store...

Edit: Ok, so I found out I have a 74850c Liteon. So I would probably not need to solder. But what is that probe they used on the drive or so? Do I really need this?

and remember to get your key and store it in a good place , if you lose it you will not be able to re-flash this drive to another flash after LT+ is added

with the newest jungleflasher it has a database which remembers all the used keys.

same was with my LT firmware.

I was like...very nice didn't know that one yet Very Happy

Ok, so I just need to connect it to my PC, use the half-open method to get it reading, and then I can dump the keys and flash the new FW?

if I remember correctly yes... unless you has a liteon then you will need a probe to read out the key

Damn... Really can't be arsed to buy a probe or build one myself... I'll just go to the next shop.
