Hello,

Well im having a problem that has been around since i installed 7 waaaaaaaay back at first release.

Now, whenever i play a game in windowed mode i get some wierd shit going on that it shows my desktop for a quick sec and the game goes non responsive then for a milli sec.

I now finally want this shit fixed as im going annoyed by it.

I managed to record it with my phonecam (its a REALLY shit one so no QQ about it please Sad )

If anyone knows what this problem is would be really helpfull...
Its not only at this game FYI, its all ones and been going on for like... 2 years now or something....

Are you playing any media stuff in backtround ?

also check for any window manager option settings in drivers and anything else your using that may have some window managing stuff on it.. I know in linux that flashing happens and you have to untick allow window manager to control the windows and allow window manager to decorate the windows at one time. different os but same image issues.

you probably have done but make very sure the refresh rates are matched for game and desktop..

Another thing to try is go to where your can change the font/dpi size and change it to 120 reboot ur maching, then change back to 96dpi and reboot again. See if that fixes it.

Hmm, rightclick the wow exe (select properties) and try ticking either of the boxes marked in the screenshot to see if that helps.

Reinstall gfx drivers. If it's Nvidia select the clean installation option.

Is anything weird running at your background ? ... For the last 2 years ? Laughing

I actually recently updated to ATI drivers back when i traded in my GTX470 for my HD6870 so ye... used drivercleaner and shit.

Anyway i got around 134 processes running...

Another wierd thing is that now it suddenly stopped doing it again =.='

Seriously it just comes and goes whenever it wants...

Go to msconfig > startup and get rid of useless bullshit loading at startup.

p.s ATI driver CP has windows management stuff and all sorts for sych and monitor size settings. Your screen looks like its a fair size maybe its something to do with that, is it a HD type lcd ?

Have you tried Disabling Aero? Most games will turn it off onstart, but may be worth a try.

saussage just reinstall the os, if your wow install is not on the os its safe.. you dont have to reinstall wow again and its ui etc.. if its not just copy the folder over to another hd,

when you run wow again it will just fix its reg itself in teh background and start fine..

Very Happy if that is what ur concerned about Very Happy

What???? Why??? Ever heard of partitioning? Like a system partition where you install your OS? Like 80GB or so? Otherwise you'll end up in a situation like you just describe. Laughing

crazy, not partitioning your os install on a 2TB is madness Very Happy

See where ur left now? thinking shit its too long to format this drive.. Get some tools and start moving a partition closer to the os size all but say 40gb.. that will suffice.. And never put anything program wise on the os install side of things again but os shit..

job done..

Well the thing is that i done that before, but i kept on installing little programs and bit by bit the windows partition became full and i was unable to clean that mess up without reinstall windows aswell...

But i have been thinking of reinstalling on my 10.000 rpm 160gb, but im kinda confused now.
Some people say that my single 10.000 rpm is faster then my 2x spinpoint f3 1tb in raid0, and others say the other way around Neutral
