As soon as they add hardware video acceleration it will be perfect. Currently it runs on processor power only. With opengles it will be teh awesum.

@ Waargh: Aye, but even so it still seems to manage to run a lot of games quite well, so I was wondering if anyone on here was using it (there's some compatability lists on  A and Wiki as well)

The term for Android devices is ROOTing, which is basically hacking the machine in order to get root and SU access to low-level OS configuration/modification. You don't need to root for playing games though, they can be ran on standard Android as long as they're cracked.

But I have to admit, the iOS 4 (@Sabin  ) is much nicer than the initial condition it, there is copypasta, task switching is a good compromise (it is similar to Android, but more locked down for battery and CPU in the way of AppStore and Apple not allowing stuff that doesn't behave properly). I have not had a device with previous versions, so I don't care about that, but they seem to have got most of the stuff right with iOS 4.
