Yeah she talks audio and all, though it gets a bit annoying.
(Trade caravan here, small trade caravan there, military ship inbound, bandits incoming, horde of bandits incoming and all before I've even traveled from the planet to the nearest station.)
(The one where she threatens to self format if I cheat on her with some other girl I had at that time was funny though.)
The localization or re-release process for these titles have been highly problematic however which is unfortunate.
(Though in turn it means GameFactor Interactive or what they were called - Russobit or some thing as well? - won't see much money from their hasty decisions and sup-par effort though the developers Deep-Shadows could probably need some income as they're apparently in some financial problems so they've been very quiet and this delayed these localizations initially.)
According to Trivium's NFO file they even use their cracks (Even attempted to use SecuROM over it which is why Xenus 2 is broken.) and the way the audio was handled only leaves a few lines with voice (in-game cutscenes and CG intro video.) with the rest being silence though everything is subtitled but it removes some of the atmosphere and some of the strings are incorrect so you'll see numbers and odd translations though the actual translation is quite decent though I prefer the more accurate and direct restored lines that the modded dialogue project brings back, also fixes some bugs and works around other issues.
Unfortunately both English versions are also 1.0 instead of 1.1 or what the latest patch for either is (Xenus 2 as far as I'm aware had a 1.0.1 hotfix and a larger 1.1 update afterwards with Precursors only getting a 1.1 patch, this also seems according to the Deep-Shadows Russian website.)
This is a bit problematic since Xenus 2 (Or White Gold: War in Paradise as it's also called) can be a bit buggy and the patch addresses a number of issues.
(Restored dialogue uses 1.0.0 of the Resource.qrc file so some minor issues are still present like the holo sight / collimator for the AK-74 is very uncommon and some localization and quest statuses could be better but works.) Precursors manages much better but also had a number of fixes in it's first/only update, though both are much improved over Xenus / Boiling Point: Road to Hell.
Overall I opted to return to the Russian disc images of the game and the keygens now available with full patch functionality and modded translations.
(English official translation / resource.qrc file works as well if you prefer that.)
Only drawback is that it's not possible to add subtitles to the in-game cutscene but the readme for that translation mod has most of those covered though not all are fully detailed.

I packed both up here, works for Xenus 2 and Precursors, try the .dll first if that doesn't solve it use the postprocess folder (Rename it first as the _ I added ensures it's disabled so the .dll method can be attempted before altering the shader data.)

Yes, I've seen that postprocessor fix too. Unfortunately it also disables some parts of GUI, that rely on postprocessing (for example, no camera display when zooming camera).
Also, both fixes reduce amount of bloom and lighting in the game.
.
Still there is another workaround too: Limit game framerate to 29fps!
in VIDEOOPTIONS.INI...
(from Users\Public\Documents\White Gold)
change:
LIMITFPS=0
to:
LIMITFPS=29
It will remove flicker, keep bloom/lightning, but limit frame rate to 29.
(any higher value, even 30, leads to flickering)

Interesting, so both will affect the lighting, good to know and useful to know about the FPS limit workaround as well, had that set to 30 as to help with potential stuttering.

Ok i downloaded Postmortem release. I can tell you that:
1. Precursors from Postmortem = Precursors from Trivium (english release from december). Trivium additionally has an unpacked 1.1 patch with a working keygen. This was taken from the russian patch, but it works pretty much alright afaik.
2. Xenus 2 from Trivium includes their original crack for 1.0 and the only one update/patch which everyone call 1.0.1 at their forum. There is no a second 1.1 patch.
3. There are also older russian releases of Precursors v1.1 keygen, Xenus 2 v1.0 crack, Xenus 2 v1.0.1 keygen, from Trivium. There is also a russian Precursors v1.0 crack from another group/person, not Trivium (which is included in original english retail release). These russian releases are dated like this:
- Xenus 2 1.0 crack (Trivium) - sep-2009
- Xenus 2 1.0.1 keygen (Trivium) - jul-2010
- Precursors 1.0 crack (unknown) - jan-2010
- Precursors 1.1 keygen (Trivium) - aug-2010 And here is the list of english releases:
- Xenus 2 1.0 + 1.0.1 (Trivium) - dec-2010
- Precursors 1.0 + 1.1 (Trivium) - dec-2010
- Precursors 1.0 (Postmortem) - jan-2011
So, if you want an original english retail release - watch out for its release date, and in case of Precursors those releases are 100% same, but if you have Postmortem release, you'll have to get a patch and a keygen separately. If you need it.

I actually reinstalled the game and this time I did not add the patch and all of a sudden it fixed some of the bugs for example: the music in the main menu or logos at the beginning.
as for the voice of the AI, do u hear her on English or Russian? I play the Russian version since I have no problem understanding Russian the only thing is that I read Russian a lot slower then in English thats why it annoyes me to read what she has to say.

I have the Russian version of the game so the dialogue is all in Russian, there is no English dialogue at all outside of the cutscenes unfortunately. (The voice file is ~4x smaller roughly.)

So the consensus is; the game is finally out in English but the original Russian version with We5p's translation is better, since it has the 1.1 update patch which fixes mouse/visual issues?

Overall that's correct, some of the translated lines are better in the English release but the Resource.qrc file is compatible though some of the "strings" the text corresponds to is incorrect so some objects display a number (The string.) instead of the translated lines, mostly misc items such as static objects (Barrels, radio equipment, containers and such.) and certain unused but still available items like the flares.
You also do get voice acting during the cutscenes but all other voice sound files are cut out so I'd recommend the Russian version for that as well.
(Cutscenes are transcribed in the readme file for the localization mod that Wesp5 and others did with the placeholder text already present, plus it fixes some other bugs as well.)
EDIT: The SDK unfortunately only allows editing the Resource.qrc file (And it only works on the Russian version.) the GRP archives differ from Boiling Point so a unpacker hasn't been created though it's been attempted.
(Unfortunately the GRP files can't simply the used as is, English version will remove all voices from the Russian game and the Russian version will silence the English game, unsure how they're structured so I can only guess why it breaks like this.)

What a P.O.S., truly, Russian developers were drunken when compiling this f... game, truly, very very very ugly graphics for 2011 standards and more, very very very bad mouse control, maybe these developers did not know people on PC play with a mouse. What a waste of time. For example, at the beginning, you are just fine after the arrival of you ship, but WTF, ennemies come to you, and THANKS to this terrible mouse lag problem, you even do not know why your health become low. Do not even mention you can not see ennemies on the map or your radar.

Anyway, while AA does work in Precursors for me, if it is enabled, every time flashlight is on, in lighter area, there is serious lag (less then 10fps!!!). Without AA, it's smooth.
P.S.
What does repair module do?
I'm not sure should I sell them, or keep them for later, since they have pretty heavy (1.5kg each).

They repair damage to vehicles, so keep them if possible since you'll be getting into a LOT of vehicular combat. If they're too heavy to keep around, and you trust that can survive, stick the repair modules in the boot/trunk/storage of whatever vehicle you use a lot. Though be warned; you'll lose anything you store in there if the vehicle is destroyed.

The vehicle can also be removed if you travel away from it for a extended period of time, goes for both Xenus 2 and Precursors though it's usually a rather long time period.
(Takes a couple of in-game days for dropped equipment to disappear for example.)
Having it destroyed is a more direct problem however as a couple of collisions will severely damage the lighter vehicles and wild animals/beasts and stuff like enemy bandits or raiders and their vehicles will also quickly deplete the health condition of any vehicle.
Finished most of the side missions for Precursors aside from one or two sectors, game crashed while saving so I lost the save, consider it a good point to quit on, it's mostly a smaller monetary reward anyhow and affects little aside from reputation and I did most of the missions I discovered.
(Just how much did they have to hide on the Goldin desert mesa anyway, whereas a number of other locations are pretty barren minus the two other primary planet.)
Overall though I enjoyed the game though Precursors had a number of flaws and felt a bit more rushed than how Xenus 2 currently appears, had some technical issues as well though both have that problem. (Longer periods of playing might cause it to crash and as noted above it can unfortunately happen while saving so saving often is important, had a second slot but it was a few hours older.)
Nearly done with Xenus 2 as well, it's a bit more dated as it's older but it's also quite enjoyable.
(More weapon variety and such would have been nice for both games though you usually only use some of them due to weight restrictions, vest is critical to carry after all and they're heavy plus medical aid, food for quick healing and misc sellable goods, quest relatedi tems usually only weight 0.01 so that's manageable.)

One question for those who played a bit.
I don't know what some effects on alcohol and some edible items do.
There is "strength", "reaction", "degree" (probably how strong is alcohol), and I have no clue what exactly they do. May be an issue of bad translation too (I noticed that Xenus2, for example, has "dexterity", which could also meat "reaction").
