why would you want to spoof it as samsung to begin with?
i haven't read into spoofing so i don't know about unspoofing, sorry
i flashed my hitachi 79 with w7x64 with no problems
you don't need a sata-card, but you need a sata plug on your motherboard and a compatible chipset
some usb-sata adapters have been known to work also but i don't think there's any way to tell which ones as there's a bazillion brands
they're not expensive in any case so you could have a try, but i would bet every motherboard out there has a sata connection on it so you should make sure that doesn't work first
you'll also need to burn a drive unlocking cd, which is a v79 speciality

Thanks for the reply dude.
I didnt spoof the drive so I cant answer why it was spoofed.
I might try flashing my hitachi v79.
I have a motherboard with SATA VT8237 I think.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Ok so its not finding my drive grr!
If it's an Hitachi spoofed as Samsung do I need to treat it as an Hitachi or Samsung? Or maybe I need to unlock it first for it to detect? Do drives have to be unlocked even if they have been flashed before?
I fear I'm in for a long night with this lol.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

oh, check your bios that you have the sata chip in the non-AHCI setting (ide or ata or whatever the other legacy setting in your bios might be)
i know nothing of the spoofing
i would assume it's just a hitachi firmware that says it's samsung and becomes hitachi again once you flash it with the latest version, but i could be completely wrong so don't take my guess for it
this might help perhaps?
http://www.tiaowiki.com/forums/xbox-360-hardware-talk/how-to-spoof-and-flash-to-a-new-liteonbenq/
i'm not sure but i think jungleflasher went through the unlocking-cd stuff when you follow it's instructions closely
giving a link to download it and all
it's over a year since i flashed mine so the memory is a bit hazy but i remember it being very straight forward when you follow jungle's instructions
(i'm stuck at my parents' for christmas so i haven't been able to flash the new one in yet... don't you just hate having family?)

I think I have a Hitachi 79, don't think you need to spoof it, but some of the games have an invalid dashboard installed on the disc, I was close to spoofing backwards to get it working with Ap2.5, then installed the new dashboard from USB and everythign works perfectly. I could be way off on wtf this thread is talking about..but thought i'd mention it.

some mainboards have specific locks what drive can be on it so that's why they spoof it to make it work on other 360 mainboards
here he wants to unspoof it to test it if it works with his mainboard and add LT+1.1 on it to be able to play ap25 games that works only with unspoofed drives because it reads what drive has to be mounted on the mainboard

the drive was spoofed to be a liteon not sammy.. in the process again, save your key to key.bin then, when you get there, in firmware tool tab select manual spoofing under target section. load key.bin then under OSIG select (PLDS DG16D2S 7485) reflash your drive with your firmware spoofed.. and that should be it, games should play fine.

Yeah someone else told me the drive was spoofed as Lite-On and not Samsung. No idea why the guy who spoofed it told me it was spoofed as a Samsung.
I had to restore the drive before I could flash with LT+1.1.
I guess its not relevant what it was spoofed as anymore as it is now flashed and still plays my old non AP25 backups.
I just need to get ACB and NFSHP working now before Ill be happy
Ive ripped the burned discs using Imgburn and now I think all I need to do is patch with Level 3 ABGX autofix and burn?
Failing that redownload both releases and reburn the original isos? | question : can you test Fable 3 ?
and yeah for those games just rip those dvds with IMGBURN then proper those isos and you should be done , you can also be paranoid and also add ap23 from http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58118 if your not sure if ABGX fix those
and here is ap25 faq
http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58387
edit:
and ehem just a stupid question : is your 360 banned if not well you just posted your 360 code to all ..ouch so remove it
