If I remember correctly the game took me ~8 hours to complete, mostly because (as Leo said) except for some additional rooms to explore, it was a linear experience (in a good way though ).

Sure, for 10 seconds, not 20 minutes for each door knob.

No saying the game was played in 15hrs was not exaggerating at all, but saying you completed it in 6 or under 6hrs is saying just that,, "you finished the game" albeit you just hammered through it without interest in the design/looks and atmosphere..
alot of people post on here of late .. "hey i BEAT GAME" and the thing was released the same day/installed on they're machine also same day.
To myself it seems alot of folk dont know how to truly appreciate art or gameplay no more its all about I MUST FUCKING FINISH IT NAO CAUSE I WANT TO POST I BEAT GAME IN UNDER SO MANY HOURS CAUSE IM SO FUCKING GOD LIKE!..

Invisible walls? No, I came across locked doors and barricaded walkways that I couldn't progress pass but I have yet to find a single invisible wall in the game.

Well, I just bought Dead Space 1 on Steam. I just made it to Chapter 10 on normal and I've been playing for 13 hours. Yeah, I take the game slow.

You know most achievements gets you playing the games more than you would without. |
Maybe. I'm talking about posts I've seen from 360 users on forums advising that everyone buys the x, y, or z game because you can finish it in 5 hours and has easy achievements to get.

Or even worse, they buy the DLC shit because "it adds extra 200 DLC points for almost no work".

There are a few low res shadows, etc. but overall it looks about the same or slightly better compared to Dead Space 1.
And some info about who did the PC port:
Quote: | The UI coding was done at Visceral Montreal, the rest of the code for MP was done in Redwood City at Visceral RWS. The art was split between Visceral RWS and Montreal however we had separate people working on it. My good friends at Visceral Melbourne worked mainly on the PC. |
