that is if u have passive way of life and not coming home from work at 19.00 all tired and shit
also great if u are american and prefer junk food, same as above Laughing

for us working ppl kinect is no go, we want to relax by grabbing controller or kb/mice, then again if i'm free and want to work out i do it properly, not by jumping like chump all over my house Laughing

You really should try it before judging it man Smile I don't look at kinect gaming as "gaming", but more of a fun social thing. Everyone loves it, even the most sceptic people. At least its way more fun than Wii.

But the hype will dissapear for sure. Lack of good games is a problem. Only 3-4 decent ones.

Something called Fap Hero or FapGangBang - for multiplayer.

I got my hand on a Kinect, Media Markt sold the thing for 100 euro. Thought that was an "ok" price for it.

Wonder which games that one should go for? I already bought Kinectimals for our daughter. But the rest? Kinect Sports? Motion Sports? Fintness Evolved? Fighters Uncage?

Im guessing Kinect adventures was included? Its one of the coolest games imo. Together with kinect sports. They all work very well.

Kinect Sports is a definite buy if you have a Kinect. Fighters Uncage is pure garbage. Motion Sports is sub-par. Fitness Evolved is fine but it's more for exercising and not for having fun. I'd get Kinect Sports and check out Dance Central.

Oh yes, how could forget Dance Central. But other than that Kinect Sports is a good choice then? I was worried it would be too much like Kinect adventures which it was bundled with. Fitness Evolved looked cool, but as poisonousj says it seem to be more for exercising for "real". I'm more toward getting some games for when having friends gettogether. More social and party-playing Smile

No, once you have Kinect Sports, Kinects Adventure will collect dust. Not only is the sports game great for guests who have never played the kinect before, it has a lot more replay value for yourself. Personally, I much rather work on getting a higher bowling score or kick more goals in soccer than try to get a higher score collecting tokens in a river raft. Kinect Sports takes photos of you playing as well and the best part is when you score, it plays actual songs like Queen's "We Are The Champions" It's a small touch that adds a lot. Biggest negative is there's a lot of in-game advertising. One of the bowling balls has a T-Mobile logo!!! ugh.

It runs 320x240 on 360 and still it struggles to produce results without delay. Laughing

Its not hard to see its low res, in most games it takes pictures of you at certain places. And bad res + bad lighting = shit quality pictures :/

And yes, the delay is there, but not as bad as people think. Can't say all games are playable tho That uncaged fighting game and the new sonic game is supposed to be unplayable because of the controls. So no, haven't burned many kinect games. Only those with good reviews Smile

Likewise. I was expecting a gimmick that was anywhere from power glove lameness to wii imitation but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I may look like a super queer playing Dance Central but it is fun and i'm downing as many fitness games as I can at the moment. It will be nice to have an alternative to the gym since it's going to be so fucking crowded for the next 3 months.

kinect id question... do you have to use it? currently my missus and i share our main xboxlive profile and only sign her in separately for 2 player games, and i dont really want to change that. dont mind being signed in separately on kinect games but is it going to log us in and out of our profiles on dashboard or non kinect games? (when playing like of NFS etc we take turns...dont want it swapping profiles back and forth...)

i'm pretty sure it's not mandatory and that you can turn it off if you don't want to use it.

i normally log in manually and then go into the kinect thing, forget what it's called. last night i wasn't logged in and waved my hand and it automatically logged me in once it started kinect central or whatever it's called. i've not set my wife up yet with kinect id but i dont think it would auto log the other player in unless they were in the frame or line of sight of it. i would think if nothing else you could turn off kinect id on her profile to eliminate that from happening.

yea as long as she doesn't configure her own kinect ID, when you're logged in and she is in front of the camera, it will just go 'not recognized' but won't log you off or anything.

I have to agree with this comment:

"For me, the problem with motion control is that it brings nothing to the market that improves on what we already have.

In fact if anything it takes away things we have, ie feedback and precision."
