What was your top 5 this year?
For me:
1. Castlevania:Lords of shadow
2. Red Dead Redemption
3. Super Mario Galaxy 2
4. Darksiders
5. Super Meat Boy
Handheld:
1. Persona3
Maybe I will take the time and count the games together and see who wins this year.

Didn't have too many games I enjoyed extraordinarily much this year but I managed to come up with 5 that left a good impression.
1. God of War 3
2. Resonance of Fate
3. Heavy Rain
4. Nier
5. Gran Turismo 5
Unfortunately some games that I expected would be surefire hits turned out to be less than stellar.
Mass Effect 2 for one was a low point of this year for me.. I loved every game bioware made until this abomination...
And of course Final Fantasy 13 which had some really nice aspects but I just didn't get what I wanted from a final fantasy game. I still completed it but I didn't enjoy it at all at times.

stood out for me. I´ve played thorugh some other ones but haven´t really had the time to play a lot this year.

Red Dead Redemption. Even more so with the Undead Nightmare DLC.
I could list more games aswell, but there can only be one GOTY, and that's RDR.

I have 3 IRL friends that enjoyed Crackdown as much as me. Crackdown 2 gave us all the opportunity to play together in the same game world. And for that it makes my list.  |
