good thing i only have a troll account on facebook
it's just stupid , giving too much info to everyone , nobody give a shit , and it's just pathetic to brag about how many friends you have on facebook and how you rediscoverd old ones and shit like that.

if you wanted to stay in touch , then you could have via email , telephone ,even fucking letters or post cards .

also , you MAKE friends and not ADD them
get the fuck out of the house once in while

hierofan, don't hate it.

It only made 2billion revenue this year and is valued at 44 billion. Really sucks...

Yeah I add friends, and yeah I get out, and i phone. Why FB then? Because it is easier to gather together or know when there are partys or meetings or other shit. And wtf is the difference between an email, a chat message, an SMS or a message on FB?

Same with twitter. I hated it first, but now I have it as a feed on my pc through rockmelt and I am following Reuters, Bloomberg and other things. Instead of f5-ing, i am constant up to date. No need to be forced to read newspapers in the morning or watch the news. I am up to date constantly.

Just makes the life a bit easier.

You can't explain it to him spankie...

And I don't think facebook and "no life" statement go together at all. More like the other way around. 90% of the people I have as my friends lead very rich social lives. Most people I met in college that don't even go out weekends, don't have FB.

We already had this discussion in another thread a while back. Search and read what I wrote there.

Anyone that hates anything THAT much (you whine about it whenever someone mentions it) is obviously not thinking (or willing to think) rationally about it. Instead you assume your superiority somehow from avoiding to use FB.

Dare refuse Facebook, social morphine for the masses. First they get you hooked, then they drain you in every way possible.

I use it to keep in touch with old friends from highschool that I would not have kept in touch with otherwise. I don't see it as the great evil that everyone sees. It's how you use it. I do make fun of the people that sit and play the silly games all day, but that's the people, not FB themselves.

I don't have it just for the opposite reason grinhurt So that I can evade douches from my HS. Plus my dad discovered FB and Skype and now he's all over it, so I'll definitely never make a FB account grinhurt

Who sends casual e-mails these days? Especially to people you haven't spoken to in a long time. Also its much easier to remember a person's name than their e-mail address

The people I find in my e-mail address book are mostly professors and other staff members from my college and other colleges. Not everyones address book is the same. I dont have anything against e-mailing I think its really great for trolling professors but for casual conversations with friends, its either text message or FB for me

It just seems a bit weird to email a friend and ask them what theyve been upto. Another cool thing about facebook, you dont even have to ask what your friends are up to. You can pretty much just check up on them if you feel like it Laughing
