Yes 5 is a sequel to 4, but 4 is a prequel to 3, and Han is alive in 3.
But if 5 takes place after 3, then Han should be dead.
If it takes place after 4 but before 3 then he's alive.
I never thought I'd be discussing this series' continuity.
