Other Dexter seasons ended in the same way. It wasn't shit at all. It was a proper Dexter ending like were usually used to

Well the last season was a special case. Im glad this season didn't end with such a huge cliffhanger. It would be quite annoying to have to wait a year again. This season ending reminded me of the typical first few season endings, nice and calm

Yup, seasons 4 and 5 were greenlit during season 3, hence they already knew they would be coming back for the fifth season and had a cliffhanger/major twist ending for the fourth.
This would have served as a great series finale. I have no idea what they will do next year without retreading old ideas.

A typical Dexter ending but somehow I found it to be lacking and disappointing. Don't know why, just didn't feel right. I was so sad for him. Finally he found someone to bond with, and then for some really retarded reason he is alone again.

I was glad he killed her. I liked how Dexter had the "no one messes with my family" attitude. It really made him look like a "normal" person. Well, in a Dexter "normal" I mean.

i think the jordan chase bit was to easy and it was only around half way into the episode that he was killed?
didnt feel like there was any real big showdown, jordan chase turned out to be a pussy who got stabbed in the foot after like 5 seconds

It's hard to follow up trinity, but I've also found the whole jordan chase story/character pretty weak.
Well, at least Dexter finally seems to have his shit together.

When was there a cliffhanger ending anyway, if I recall right every single season was wrapped up. And don't give me this Rita being killed cliffhanger bullcrap, it's not like Trinity escaped, Dexter killed him he killed Rita there's no cliffhanger.

It was over a bit quick with Jordan Chase, but I am glad it's not a cliffhanger ending.
It was already apparent that Deb would let them go if she caught them by how she was talking and acting after watching the tapes so that was no surprise.

Can we get over spoilering already?
Anyway, in my head I had a scenario where Debra shot Lumen and found dexter crying on the floor, too bad they keep on dragging it on like that.
And as a bonus, Hall and Carpenter filed divorce papers, would be funny if he'd kill her in the next season, or the other way around

Yeah, it felt really easy. I mean, every able minded villain would have searched Dexter before bringing him anywhere. Also, where could Dexter hide a blade that he could take out with his hands behind his back? Also, without Jordan noticing something is wrong?
I hate stupid villains, he could have shot Dexter in the face when he got out of the car and finished it right there. But nooooo, he had to let him live for some unknown reason.
I would have expected he would torture them a little bit more emotionally if not physically before getting stabbed in his foot.
