Nothing has been said about the gameplay elements yet, we can only elaborate guesses at the moment..and to be honest my personal guesses aren't very positive Laughing

It will probably be even closer to GeoW with more boring conversation and unskippable sequences. TPS FTW!!!! :/

I'm almost sure they're implementing the 'press a button - something awesome happens' system here too as we speak. Cool Face

Yeah, this seems to be a cool trend and very appreciated by low level derps Laughing .

In any case, considering the statistics about ME2 released some weeks ago, I can imagine that very probably ME3 will be shorter than its predecessor and that the RPG elements won't be reintroduced, since ME2 was both a commercial success and an universally acclaimed title (Following the logic: why should we change something that works well?). Needless to say that I don't like my guesses Razz

Wow i can't wait, but i sure hope the game doesn't play on and around earth the whole time.
And i like how they used the squid/hand reaper models to invade earth.
They remember me of the first time speaking to Sovereign in ME1, it gave me goosebumps lol.
Although on the other side its kinda disappointing that it only shows one (know) reaper species, seeing as in ME2 they mention that reapers use different galaxy-species for new reapers every time (like the human-reaper).

@ Mister_s
In a presentation where the talked about ME2 they said the following:

Quote:

In a presentation by Lead Gameplay Designer Christina Norman, at the Game Developer's Conference in March 2010, titled Where Did My Inventory Go?
Refining Gameplay in Mass Effect 2, Norman outlined her goals for Mass Effect 3. These included:

* Richer RPG features.
* More combat options.
* More complex enemies.

Source

So lets hope for the best.
I really hope the enemies drop weapons and armor again like in ME1 and that they make the weapons and armor more customizable.

I hope that Bioware will ditch the annoying "You have to give shelter to all kinds of A-holes" mechanic, why not just let them wait at a Bar or something like that?

Imho, being forced to shelter Npc's that I don't like, is just breaking immersion, I mean who would do that in real life?

Yeah, but that's just a convenient excuse for the plot. I mean, I'm the Super Bad Ass Commander and I can do just about anything that I want. Smile

I just hate being forced to stick with characters I don't like, it was the same crap in the Kotor games.

I'm wondering if it's possible to complete ME2 with a minimum of Npc's. Anybody know if the game will let me progress with only 2 or 3?
It's not that I want to skip everything, but I have completed the game once, and frankly I could do without those guys that annoys me in a second playthrough. Smile

Anyone know for certain who does the voiceover in the teaser trailer? I thought instantly it was Sean Bean, but upon googling it seems a lot of people are saying it's not (but eh then again it's the internet, most people are stupid and don't know anything Very Happy).

@maul_inc: I think you have to have enough people to fill the team positions in the final sequence. Doubt you can skip more than a few.

I was wondering too. The voice sounds familiar, but I don't think it's Bean.
Also it is a main character, or just a random trailer dude?

I would assume you play as sheppard in the game, because pretty much the trailer stated "If sheppard dosen't get here soon we are fucked"

Merging the first two games into one for the last part will probably do the trick for me. I liked both parts, the first had better exploration (or in other words HAD exploration) while the second one had a more cinematic feeling.

Also we could argue all day about the things that will get dumbed down but after reading the statement that the third will offer "richer RPG features" and "more combat options." it just proves that Bioware still has potential and that is practically what all of us wanted in the first place - a game better than both installments.

The only thing I'm worried about is the time frame - only 2 years to produce such a triple A title would mean they will go the Obsidian KOTOR 2 way and start cutting unpolished or unfinished chunks out - the fact that they kept pumping out DLCs in the meantime also doesn't put my mind at ease.

DLC always bother me.

But what really bothered me even more is the small little DLC guns here and there, i mean damn. They shoulda added it to the game. And I really hope there are more varity of armor, and weapon stats.

Gun DLCs are just retarded, you have to load an old save to use them cause there´s nothing to kill if u beat the game.

Yeah, they should mix the gameplay of ME1 & 2, I really missed the exploration in the Rover in ME2 Sad I was hoping that Bioware would have kept the rover and put some interesting stuff like sidequests on those planets that could be explored, but they chose to throw it out the window and put in that lame planet scanning game, and that Firewalker Dlc idn't exactly help, it felt more like a racing mini game. Sad

Bring back the Rover please!

I know, the thing is that i had already played a second play through by the time the added a few armor pieces and guns the two last DLC were awesome though -overlord and shadow broker- and i used pretty much all the guns and armor i hadnt used before.
