I've got the same problem here, haven't found a solution yet |
found a solution uninstall DooM 3 and DooM 3 RoE now deleate all folders that are left behind now install DooM 3 and RoE apply the crackfix and ur done enjoy

Bleh, just DOOM3 Redux in my opinion. Played a little of it, don't have a whole lot of room to talk, but it just seems like the same old stuff all over again.
dyn IP addys, subnet & mac spoofs, email routing, and if all else fails, wi-fi. banned? lol, its more like brb. =p

I had a problem too with the ROE and i had too many mods installed and the readme says no mods should be installed it can cause problem.
So i installed doom3 as usual, then roe with the keys from the nfo then i applied the crackfix from Mint and typed in the keys again thats in the nfo and it works.
To us a custom resolution type in console
r_mode -1
r_customwidth 1280
r_customheight 960
vid_restart
that should work and 1280 960 is just my custom you can use any of course.

Didnt get around to playing the expansion yet, is the story as intrigueing as Doom 3? By that I mean is it almost as long as Doom 3 was but bits of a story along the way, or is it kind of short but with more cutscenes/story?

The cut scenes in this expansion are incredible. The very first one where your dude goes to grab the heart/artifact thing is awesome. Its hard to beleive that it isnt a pre-recorded movie, but actually being rendered real-time.

Honestly doom3 sucked for me but this expansion is pure fun this his what doom3 should of been honestly by far one of the good fps of 2005 and tha double barrel shotty is beautiful hehehe

Question:
I'm on lvl 4 where I'm collecting the powercells. I inserted a powercell so that I activated the cargo lift and made my way up (got plastered about 10 times by the ceiling hehe) then I come to an "auxilary bridge controls" it should extend the bridge but it doesn't. If I go back where I came from nothing happens and no enemies spawn so I'm pretty sure that bridge should extend. Any ideas?

anyone else having problem loading the map 'phobos3' (Phobos Level 3)?!
crashes to desktop every time I want to load that map (either from the previous level via the transmition or via the console...)

Just thought id mention, with a bit of changing and copying files, this expansion works on xbox as well. Apparently very slow though, needs to have lower res textures to be used to speed it up a bit.

Its just the same as Doom 3 engine wise, so you just swap the .pak files around...

Well finished the third boss and got to delta labs
Bosses are not so hard especialy if you use your powers right..
I finished the original d3 a couple of time and in a way it was far better then HL2
at least i knew what to expect from d3 while hl2 was disapointing especially the graphics part(well ati got hit under the belt prety hard- sprite fire - who uses something like that anymore).
The expansion is some more action oriented then the original ... but can't complain curios how quake 4 would look in the near future;)
Been runing the game on a fx5800 and it looks damn good.
