Coming on iDevices very shortly and on PC/Mac early next year.
No new chapters/puzzles this time (this is why it isn't called "Director's Cut" but merely "Remastered") but it will feature remastered and enhanced audio and video content and further usability improvements.
The only bad thing, is that unfortunately, I believe they will add the "always show the clickable hot-spots" thing again.. Which is a must for playing on iPhones (thanks to it, Broken Sword 1 DC is the very best adventure you can play on apple's phones!), but it absolutely has no place when you play on your PC!!

I'm a big fan of Broken Sword, mostly the first game. I wish they would make another official game in 2d.

Remastering means that they went back to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_recording to retrieve the audio and video instead of using lower quality intermediates etc.
Just because they looked up their archives for the original art you should not expect that the game will have 1080p backgrounds, as the originals I imagine were drawn at a fairly low resolution.
For example I remember that they said that BS1 was drawn at 640x400 and for the Director's Cut they resized the art using filters to double the resolution, ~720p.
Furthermore the above images are from the iOS version. The Windows/Mac version may look a bit better.

I would ignore him, he seems to be unable to play a game longer then 30 minuets.

Well, this Broken Sword looks cool. Reminds me of some of the older lucasarts stuff.
