I ain't moving from Stormreaver, been playing on that server since vanilla launch(with a few breaks - migrations to Kazzak with raiding guild) and staying there..its completely full, though :E

Of course people are more than welcome to join us there. I know I'm not the only humper on it Wink

Man o' Man,

I'm enjoying the hell out of playing my new Worgen Warrior. Been playing WoW since 2004, and I've never made an alt (only had my rogue). New zones/quest lines are pretty fun now Very Happy

I was one (of the few ?) that enjoyed and liked best leveling from 1 to 30-40 on WoW vanilla (with Deadmines, Lakeshire, Darkshire, Arathi Highlands quests being memorable to me) rather than the high end stuff (specially leveling from 50-60 was boring, and Molten Core nothing incredible, and so was boring to farm every same dungeon to get your T0 piece)...

How does WoW Cataclysm compare to that ? I only played BC for 10min, and I thought the leveling sucked ass so much I stopped at lvl 60, and was like high end WoW vanilla... Didnt even try WOTLK... But does WoW cataclysm brings the same magic from lvl 80 to 85 ? Or maybe when you reroll from lvl 1 ?
I mostly played WoW because I enjoyed looking at the setting, loved the characters and story... Actually I liked most of it, except it's high end content I would say.... Never did much PvP except battlegrounds, but I asked a friend and he told me that WoW high lvl stuff got better after time (when BC & WOTLK were out), i.e. PvP was great fun, and dungeons were more memorable than lvling from 1 to 30.

Please elaborate, or should I simply stay far away from WoW ?

TBC leveling sucked gay ass. Most hardcore wowsers HATE the TBC content which says a lot about how horrible it is, since they love most things blizztard throws at them.

I played when TBC was launched, like yourself, but I kept playing because the guild I was in were made up of great guys (and gals). shortly after I hit 70 I quit.

The most fun I had was pre-battlegrounds hillsbrad pvp era.

If you haven't played since you quit TBC, then a lot has changed. I just came back myself to try 1 month at least. The leveling is noticably faster and you can do stuff that you couldn't do before. Like, have both alliance and hord characters on the same server. Buy a mount at level 20 etc. that only costs a few gold.

I would suggest getting the Zygor leveling addon if you plan on playing, as it will most often go faster than just wandering around by yourself even though the questing is faster now.

Hmmm, thats not a bad idea, although i would maybe use only two. So you basically just copy WoW folder, make shortcut to every specific folder and then run the one that you will be playing ?

It really was boring and bad, I quite myself a month after launch and didnt reach 70. Later on I got to 70 and raided, and fuck me that was great.

How hard can it be to level? Why do you need a program? Hell now quests are so damn linear its just do this and afterwards talk to that guy, fair enough lets go. You maybe have to look up 10 quests OVERALL in your leveling to 80 on wowhead

Its not hard but the guide helps when leveling an alt for instance since you dont have to think where do I go next. Its good in those cases.

are there any deals atm to buy all the WoW games/expansions?

Blizzard store had a sick promotion last month where you could buy the original and previous expansions for 20$... too bad I missed it. Can I still get those prices elsewhere?

Think the closest thing would be g2play. the tbc and classic wow prices are fine but the wotlk price is a lot higher. almost the same as cataclysm :/

yeah thats all fine but I dont want to be doing all the low level xp quests just cause I can open map and see where I am going ffs Very Happy

Zygor wins hands down, lots of options to choose and tailor for your leveling grind on an alt.. For me I do all the best xp questing per area and can also say wether I want to follow quests that are 1 level or more or no levels ahead of my ability..

Id have to go judgemental on you here Very Happy and say it seems you have no real experience in using it. If I am incorrect here please provide us with your comparitives and pls dont say the std interface shit cause that really has nothing to do with fast xp grinding with an alt. Very Happy

have a nice day Razz

Fast xp grinding? Christ, my played is just about as good as anyone I've talked to using zygor or anything else for that matter. In the old days it was just grind mobs untill xp was shit and find a new place but now you cant really go wrong if you just do the quests..besides i have 3 80's, 1 85, 2 70's, all horde, so I know pretty much every area and have no need to track or not track something. All quests give shitloads of xp anyway
