So far I don't have find it bore. But I admit I have only a few hours of playing.
Anyway a good game from a small developer. I've never played any other title of the series before, so this is a little good surprise for me.

The saves are not compatible with either editions (Dragon Knight Saga or Flames of Vengeance).

The compatibility between saves works only if you have Divinity 2 with the latest patch (but the latest patch for Divinity released at the same time with Dragon Knight Saga/ Flames of Vengeance invalidates the saves made with the previous versions, patch 1.3 included).

So even if you use the standalone Divinity 2 plus the expansion or the Dragon Knight Saga edition, you will need to redo the Divinity 2 part of the game in order to import your character. And that's exactly what i'm doing now, mainly because a new character in Flames of Vengeance means that I won't have the attributes and skill points that I've acquired through skillbooks and mindreading.

If you have Ego Draconis and you want you use your old saves, you have to buy Flames of Vengeance, not Dragon Knight Saga.
The guys of Larian wrote in their forum that in the future they'll release a patch to convert ED+FoV to DKS.

No, it isn't, the actual patches are only fixes for the current games.
This is the changelog of the first patches for DKS and FoV:

Quote:
The following features and fixes are included with this patch:

* Nightmare difficulty mode has been added
* The graphic options have been extended
* A number of balancing changes were included (overpowered enchantments, empty containers)
* The interact button now also takes all items in a container
* Compatibility fixes are present for various graphic cards (black screen problem)
* A system fix was introduced that solves issues like invisible npc's and overpowered enemies
* A number of minor fixes were done

Dragon Knight Saga isn't the same of Ego Draconis plus the expansion Flames of Vengeance.
In DKS there are so many changes in the ED part that the saves of the first edition of ED aren't compatible, and they will never be compatible.
Instead if you buy Flames of Vengeance, apart for the same graphic enhancements of DKS, the ED part is the same of the first edition released a year ago, so the old saves are compatible.

In the future Larian will release a patch for the people that bought ED+FoV to convert the game to DKS, with all the changes of the ED part, but with this patch the old save won't be compatible, again.

By the way, Larian advised people to start over the game when patch 1 was released.
Some saves without the patch might be corrupted, and you might find yourself fighting against invisible enemies, bosses, later at the game.

The invisibal mobs thing only happens in one specific instance, and its just regular mobs,no bosses. 20-25 minuet zone.

As for the invisible enemies and one-shotting bosses: Bug will be fixed in patch but your old savegames may still have these issues.
