How far/how many hours into the game do you need to go before it saves your progress? Do you die many times before getting to this point?

15 minutes tops? Maybe a little longer if you go sightseeing into areas you have no need to explore yet.
You'd have to really suck at these games to die before the first save; I'd say you have a better chance of the game crashing (which happened to me). All there is is a few humans with pistols and one "run at the right time to not get hammered by a wave" puzzle before the first save point.
Game itself is pretty cool if you like Resident Evil clones and wish they'd bring the series to the PC. The plot is somewhere between The Thing and Half-Life, though the game is nowhere near as good as either of those. I would have liked it a lot better if the controls didn't suck; really shitty 3rd person camera + guns just doesn't work, and seeing a laser sight on a AK-47 made me laugh too. Graphics are great considering it's a port, sound is nothing special and didn't even seem to be positional to me, and the game itself is way too short. You're looking at about 8 hours at most on normal level.

is there another carzy person like me that actualy played it till the end? lol
anayway i am on the last boss (anna's father) - that part that anna install's c-4 and i have to keep the moster away from her...so...after anna finish the installation-how the fuck should i kill the monster??? ...it is look like above the chest he got weak point but ...very hard to shoot that point ...
anyone passed it?

Ok, heres how to kill the monster.
You know when he turns his back on you? Pull out your AK-47 and shoot him in the back a few times so he turns around. The key is to distract the monster from going after Anna so she can place the charges. Try to keep him as far away from her as possible. When he goes to charge at you let him start to run, than run out of the way. He will than turn around and start walking away from you to go towards Anna. Hit him in the back again and repeat this process until a cutscene comes up. Now theres only one way you can beat him. Do not fire at him. Let him pick you up. After that it will trigger a button flashing on screen, press it. It will than shoot the monster in the eye. Do that 3 times and you won the game. If your having trouble having him pick you up. When he comes at you, run out of the way than run right by him. He will pick you up than you will use whatever gun to shoot him.

ok cool:) but when he picks you up to he's hand-you should press "E" default action key and you kick him and he drop you - how the hell can i shoot when he is holding me? what key combination shell i press?

Well I beat the PS2 version when it came out. So when he picks you up the R2 but button flashes and it automatically shoots him in the eye. Not sure with the PC version, but a button should come up. If not, just automatically aim for his eye. You do it 3 times. After that comes the ending cutscene.

Erm guys,just wanted to ask you this question....does this games support geforce 4 mx440? coz my friend tries to play this game on this card and he can load the game and the main menu and even the intro movie and then when the game itself starts the pc gets back to the windows with the windows error report(the one error with the "send" and "dont send" buttons)
do u have an idea whats wrong? he has windows xp and the latest gfx drivers and he didnt oc'ed anything.

your friend needs a new card i doubht MX wil lrun any of todays games as it lacks pixel shader. here ar ethe supported cards.

might sound stupid but how the Fuck can i remap the keys ? when i click and action it remap it with left mouse button !!!!

ok my friend:) finaly i understood and killed him;)-its the same as the ps2 tactic and fany that i played all the game with out to understand this key combinations-(when monsters jump on you are atack from behind lol) but i did it without the combination - but to kill the last boss you must use this so - xAiTheHitman-you where very helpfull.

p.s-not a game to play more then one time.

The MX cards will not work with all new Ubisoft games

Yea, theres no replay value to this game... except to experience those cool effects on the ship.

Finish it on hard level , took me about a week , playing aprox. 2 hours a day
anything besides hard leve (normal ,easy) is just too easy , and makes game
booring.
I like this game , nice RE clone , not much game like this these days... SILENT HILL 3,4 is boring sometimes , this game have enough action to keep you playing it.
Gonna try OBSCURE , ..hope its not total bullshit ,that you beat in 3 hours like people sad.
