If it takes ~1 month or even more for a crack to be released then the protection is quite successful.

But it didn't boost sails for most of their titles. All it did was to alienate lots of customers like myself included. It only spread rage and hatred. Why wouldn't other companies acquire/accept the protection system?

It doesn't matter, they have already decided that they need strong DRM no matter what, even if it alienates a few potential customers.
The only reason to drop the DRM is if it's ineffective. If it repeatedly gets cracked within a day or two or less than a week, then they're simply spending money for nothing.
But it the DRM remains uncracked for periods of time close to a month that's a success for them and you shouldn't expect them to remove it any time soon.

Haven't tried yet but perhaps you need the 1.1 update for it to work.
(Though it seems unlikely, auto-updater won't initialize so you have to run it manually from the support folder to patch.)
Firewall blocking might also help as might specific versions of the Ubisoft launcher.
(Though I think you need the latest for Hawx2 to work and it hasn't been updated from that.)

He says he found a huge security hole that will work on any game, and he hasn't even tested it on ONE game? How does he know it'll work on anything then? He even claims it'll work on AC:Brotherhood when it's not even released on the PC!
And he downloads his games from TPB? 
Even if he's real, no wonder he did a sloppy job and it doesn't work.

And lets not forget that Ubisoft DRM has external parts that are remotely on the server in some games. So claiming it will work on ALL games is baloney unless he has found a way to fool Ubisoft servers to give data for free.

Launcher hasn't changed, I don't have the service for savegame storage enabled but it still verifies server-side and that doesn't seem to be altered either, I'll look into it better but that's a odd report.
